The food was absolutely delicious, and the ambience was lovely. Our section waitress, Lauren, was attentive and provided smooth, friendly service. The only downside was the wine service. When we first arrived, we were considering ordering a bottle and asked for the sommelier, but he didn’t come. After waiting for a while, we decided to order cocktails and then wine by the glass instead. Although the wine list is excellent, the interaction later felt quite brief. Overall, a great experience with amazing food, just with room to improve the wine service.
Palazzo Salato is an amazing Italian restaurant! The food is fresh, flavorful, and feels authentically Italian — from the pasta to the sauces, everything is cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out. The staff are attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Definitely one of the best Italian spots around — can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!
Overall a pretty good Italian restaurant. The trippa and the abalone pasta were the highlights — the trippa was rich, flavourful, with just the right amount of spice, and the abalone pasta was fresh, and perfectly cooked. The marron was on the smaller side and tasted fine but not particularly impressive. The beef tartare was good but not outstanding, and the popular crab malfadine was nice, though also not remarkable. Lovely atmosphere overall and definitely worth a try.
Impeccable. Really, really good. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very warm, and the service was friendly and attentive, without being too overbearing. Our glasses were always full and the waitress knew her wine. We got the set menu which was reasonably priced. The dishes were well timed in their delivery and seriously delicious. Stand-outs were the beef crudo and the marrin. And the spanner crab pasta was to die for. Couldn't fault a dish. If it had been a less fancy establishment ! would have licked the plate on the beef crudo. Dessert was an amazing dark chocolate tart... Compliments to the chef. Will definitely return when I go back to Sydney...
Went here for lunch today and really enjoyed it! The food was good, the staff were friendly, and I loved the overall vibe. We started with the artichoke entrée topped with grated cheese and chilli sauce — it was full of umami, slightly tangy, and absolutely delicious. For mains, we tried the spanner crab malfadini and the anchovy spaghetti. Both were very tasty, but I did feel a tad let down by the crab pasta since it barely had any crab meat (there were only tiny specks!), and the pasta in general could have used a touch less oil. Still, overall a great experience and I’d definitely come back!
