My partner and I came here on Friday night for our date night. Unfortunately I can't recommend this place. It's not often I give bad reviews, but this wasn't a great experience. The staff seem to need more training in regards to the services they offer, it took a solid 10 minutes of trying to explain our online booking and the staff member struggling to understand it at all, even with showing them the invoice. We eventually got there, but overall it was poor service. There was machines being moved ,blocking the hallways and the access to the elevator which was not ideal. The Lightroom was pretty cool! Probably the one good part of the experience, it was immersive and definitely keeps you moving, that part was fun. The rest of the arcade was quite disappointing, they make it seem like an incredible place on their social media, but it's completely different in person. Unfortunately I can't recommend this place, I think value for money and experience, you're better off going to timezone.
This place used to be good until it became a complete cash grab and started revolving their marketing on Labubus. Its depressing. There was potential for this place to ACTUALLY cater for arcade enthusiasts like myself, but all of their rhythm game cabinets have became completely unusable, always faulty and left without maintaining for days. Visited 3 days in a row and on all 3 days their new Sound Voltex cabinent was unusable, and when I wanted to give the other games a try, ALL of their card readers were jammed. This place used to be a cultural hub for people who are passionate about rhythm games, but most of us have lost interest because nothing here ever works, just feels more like another pitfall for casual spenders and their marketing team seems to be just chasing trends instead of promoting originality. This place feels lifeless, and the staff constantly look bored. I can’t even give the claw machines a try. When this place just opened they did not feel rigged at all, but now, the claw on certain games doesn’t even try to touch the toys inside. And when people do comment on their Instagram posts about this particular problem, whoever is in charge of the page will retort, saying that it is a “Skill issue” for them. I think, as a business, that is just downright unprofessional. If you come here for rhythm games, just go to Timezone at Tea Tree Plaza or Amuse at Witcombe St. But if you want to throw your money at rigged machines or Labubus, maybe this place is for you. Regardless they only serve to line the pockets of the owners, not provide any genuine entertainment or engagement.
My friends and I attended on Wednesday 27th. Safe to say this was hands down the best experience we have ever had at an arcade. It was our first time coming here and Quincy made our experience beyond amazing. She was not only very helpful and happy to help but also extremely kind. We would highly recommend Paradigm. Much love from Quincy’s biggest fans.
Paradigm Zone is the closest thing to a real Japanese arcade that I have found in Australia. Its packed with authentic rhythm games, claw machines, and a great mix of other arcade favourites. Perfect for anyone who loves Japanese arcade culture.
It's tiny but full of fun. The karaoke booth can have an upgrade by updating their songs by adding some of the latest pop hits like Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Charli xcx. They're there but not complete.
