My interaction with PC Place was a great experience. I needed my computer cloned to a new computer. The old computer would not turn on. They fixed the old and copied all data to the new computer. The whole experience was very pleasant start to finish. Honest, professional, and fair. I could tell they all cared and I will not hesitate to go back. I called back for an unrelated question after the fact and Stephen was very patient with someone who is not very knowledgeable when it comes to computers. Problem was solved after just a few minutes. Having been a business owner with Integrity it is nice to find someone with the same principles.
Fried my PC laptop and needed to download files from my hard drive. Talked to several businesses, PC Place seemed to have the best direction, timing and cost. The were able to converse with a none technical old guy. Explained what they would do, the timing and cost. Exceeded the timing and met the cost. Couldn't have asked for more, getting access to files that were recent and not backed up.
As always - awesome experience with PC Place. Our company used them for years and I still use them for my personal pc needs. I had several requests combining 2 laptops and they were so patient since one request came after i had dropped everything off. They accomplished it all in a very satisfactory time frame.
We had a broken hinge on our HP laptop. They were familiar with the problem, ordered the parts, and did the repairs in the promised time period. The result was great -- it looks and works like new. Price was reasonable for a tricky repair to a glued-together computer with a fragile screen. UPDATE: Minus one star. After using the computer for a while after the repair, I noticed new icons on the desktop. PC Place installed software and a PDF file explaining what they installed, how to use the files, and some top level tips about avoiding and checking for malware. I think it was done to appear helpful and to remind us about their business if we might need further help, so I don't think the intent was malicious. My complaint is that they didn't tell me they were going to do it and the software included a remote desktop utility, a category that always makes me nervous. If the permission was buried in the service agreement that I signed, I didn't notice it. I didn't expect software installation for a strictly hardware problem. I might have agreed to their installations, though, if they had asked first. And I would have appreciated an uninstall option.
Solid experience with PC Place. I worked with Erik on what I need. He let me know options and we came up with a plan. The work was done within the time estimate and the cost was just as quoted. Great tech to work with. Thanks!
