It’s been a while since I last took my car to PDX Automotive, but I was quickly reminded why it should be the only place I go. These days, too many shops are just out to make a quick buck — but not PDX Automotive. Their commitment to their customers sets them apart, earning real trust through reliability and transparency. It might sound cliché, but they truly are honest mechanics.
I took my car here for a routine oil change and a brake inspection. They have a friendly staff and the waiting area was clean. However, I was a bit surprised by the final bill, it was higher than I anticipated for just an oil change. They did mention some additional services, but I felt a bit pressured to agree to them on the spot. While the car seems to be running fine now I wish there had been more transparency about the costs upfront. Overall decent service, but I think they could improve on clear communication.
John and his team are the best! I never take my cars anywhere but to PDX Automotive. They are honest about the issues with my car. They let me know upfront pricing and they are quick to fix the issue in a timely manner as possible. The office is clean, the team is professional, presentable and friendly! As always, I had a great experience with PDX Automotive. They communicate well, and prices seem reasonable. I love having trustworthy mechanics for my vehicle! In the past, I’ve chosen to replace parts before they said I really needed to - I love that they don’t try to persuade me to do work before I need to. It does take a few weeks to get an appointment most of the time, but that usually works out fine for me.
