I have a big dog that is very afraid of the vet and would react accordingly, we've tried different vets and it was always stressful and the Vets didn't cooperate. Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital immediately knew what to do, had a plan and every time we go there it's a very easy process. This is the best service I've experienced and something that used to be a nightmare turned into an easy experience.
I will never be able to adequately convey my love and appreciation for PHAH, especially Dr. Kaufman. In May of 2024, the day before my mom unexpectedly passed, I figured out that something was very wrong with my dog. I took her to my usual vet and they didn't catch half of what was actually going on with her. While home with my family, I took her to my old vet who told me that it was kidney disease and I needed to prepare to say goodbye very soon. I wouldn't accept that. So I was referred by a friend to Dr. Kaufman and when I met her for the first time, I very bluntly said "My mom just died. I need you to keep my dog alive." She did every test, every treatment deemed necessary, sent us to colleagues who could get to the bottom of everything. For a year and a half, my baby and I were treated with the utmost respect and care by the entire staff. I was NEVER pushed into paying for unnecessary tests or medication. It was always a collaborative effort and Dr. Kaufman went to the ends of the earth for my best friend. A few weeks ago, on her 15th birthday, my sweet Millie passed away peacefully in my arms and it was both devastating and beautiful. Dr. Kaufman had stayed in contact with me the entire week, not only Thanksgiving, but with a family member in the hospital. I never felt alone. I knew that week what was coming and I knew the night before that it was just time. 15 beautiful years and she got to leave on her own terms, though Dr. Kaufman walked me through every possible scenario and choice that I had. She gave me so much more time and allowed me to get through the worst of my grief before having to say another goodbye. Her staff, her colleagues around Atlanta, everyone I met had nothing but good things to say about her and I see why. Gratitude doesn't even begin to cover it. I was surrounded with support, patience, and more attentiveness than I could have ever imagined. Thank you to the staff at PHAH and Dr. Kaufman for taking such good care of Millie and me. Walking into that office was the best decision I could have made for either of us. I hope everyone who is as attached to their babies as I am can know that same level of care.
I cannot say enough about this amazing vet. We have been using Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital for 10 years and I would not go anywhere else. Every single doctor is top notch. We have primarily used Dr. Rittle and she is fantastic with animals, very knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. She is personable and always makes the time to ensure you understand your pets condition and next steps. The front office staff, nurses and vet techs are attentive, friendly and will do everything they can to help. This place is truly a diamond in the rough when it comes to caring for your pets (and their humans) 😊. You are in good hands at Peachtree Hills!
The absolute best care you can find in Atlanta for your pet! Noodle is not just our pet, she’s our entire life. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with her care. Dr. LeFavi is an absolute gem. You can tell she truly cares about her patients and she goes above and beyond to sooth us when our baby has to get any procedures. I took her in for a dental cleaning which she had to be put to sleep for. I arrived at 7:33am and about 4 more people followed behind me. Within 2min, 4 of the vets came out and checked every single person in. I was quite impressed. The entire time Noodle was in surgery, I was getting real time texts and calls updating me on how she was doing. It was such a great experience. 10/10 recommend.
I honestly can't say enough good things about Dr. Stewart and everyone at Peachtree Hills Animal Hospital! From the moment we started going there, I knew we'd found our forever vet. Dr. Stewart is super knowledgeable and actually takes the time to listen to all my worries and questions about my fur babies (and trust me, I have a lot of questions!). When we switched from our previous vet, who unfortunately missed my puppy Daisy's ear infection, Dr. Stewart identified the issue immediately during our first visit. She ran tests to make sure we got the right medication, which made a big difference in my dog's recovery. Their emergency care is also excellent. When my other puppy, Sammie, chewed through a lamp cord and got electrocuted (she chewed it so quickly I couldn't stop her in time), I called Peachtree Hills when she started showing signs of distress. They told me to bring her in right away, and Dr. LeFavi saved my puppy's life. It was a scary situation, but thanks to their quick action, Sammie recovered completely and is now healthy and happy. I'm just so grateful to have found a vet's office where they genuinely care about our pets. They treat them like family, not just another appointment. If you're looking for a vet in the area, look no further than Peachtree Hills. They're simply the best!!!
