I’ve been coming to Pelitos for three years and I love the Downey location. The environment is kid centered and the staff is excellent. I SUPER recommend JEFFERSON!! He’s been cutting my son’s hair and has EXCELLENT barber skills!! Now that my son is a little older he can sit through his haircut and I love the attention to detail he has when cutting hair. He’s great with my son and he always leaves him looking perfect! Totally recommend!!
10/10 Experience! Francia did an amazing job cutting my baby’s hair. He’s a little impatient, but the TV in front of him helped keep him distracted. She was very gentle and kept brushing off the hair often, so he never got irritated or uncomfortable. For his very first haircut, it was a great experience — couldn’t have gone better!
It was my daughter’s very first haircut, and I was hoping it would be a special, positive experience but unfortunately it wasn’t. I expected the staff to know how to interact with children, but the person we got seemed to have very little patience. She was more focused on finishing quickly than on making my daughter feel comfortable. Since this is a place designed for kids I thought my daughter would have a great time especially for her first haircut. My daughter isn’t difficult but of course she didn’t feel comfortable with a stranger touching her hair. I assumed they had staff trained to help children feel at ease but that wasn’t the case for us. The play area and the shop itself were very nice, but the stylist we had was not a good fit at all.
review : as much as I’ve seen other ladies cut kids hair I will always advocate for my son and pick the men barbers or pick MARIA or ROSA to cut my child’s hair! 💚 They also have a little arcade and ride on machines for the children to keep them busy without throwing tantrums while you wait for your child to get called on the speaker of the location First picture is what I asked for Second picture is how I brought him and 3rd picture is how he left ready for Back to school ✏️ 📚 💚
Great experience, our son is not fond of haircuts at all! This place makes the experience as easy as possible for parents! Plenty of kids entertainment, seating, & games! our stylist was patient and had a very calm demeanor!
