Riley did an amazing job w my 9 ur old Samoyed, Princess Buttercup! She was bathed super clean, she brushed all the loose fur out, and trimmed her very nicely. GREAT EXPERIENCE!! Thx
Recently moved to the area, looking for a groomer who can care for my dog, I stumbled upon Pet Evolution and hear me out they took care of my dog Legend. Boy did he smell good when I picked him up. He looked so clean and silky smooth. Thank you again for taking me in as a walk-in.
May was so amazing. I have a 13 year old Mastiff I can no longer bring into a clinic for nails. She was friendly, professional and so knowledgeable. I highly recommend using their services! Mikayla at Pet Evolution in St. Paul did an amazing job with my dog, Leo! She took her time grooming him and made sure he was comfortable the entire visit. You can tell she truly cares about the animals she works with — Leo came out looking great and so happy! I really appreciate the attention and care she gave him. Highly recommend Mikayla for anyone looking for a groomer who’s patient, thorough, and kind.
I feel sad to have had such a negative experience with our dogs nail trim. She is a rescue greyhound that is a little tense around being restrained which has never been an issue in the past with her nail trims. They asked if she is normally good for her nail trims and I answered honestly, which is that she does not pull but she does bark. We’re pretty aware of how she reacts to nail trims because a friend of mine is a dog groomer in uptown, and has done her nails a few times on and off. We visited the mobile nail trim van at the dog park with Jared and he did fantastic with her by himself, so I figured I would try switching over to pet evolution for regular trims. When we went in person today it was a whole other story. Immediately I could tell the staff were not feeling patient, probably due to an event which brought a lot of pets to the area, and I could tell Violet was feeling that aswell. As soon as she got back into the room I heard staff yelling at her and putting more and more restraints on her to get through the trim. I approached the window to ask them to just stop, since it’s obviously not going well and I don’t want anyone to get hurt. The employee doing the trim said “if that’s the owner tell them to go away, it’s not helping” while they were trying to force my dog through a filing, which is an add on, not a necessity. I would have been happy to have skipped the filing if it was not going well. I have never seen my dog with so much panic in her eyes, I was genuinely concerned she would bite someone which is not something I have ever experienced with her. Overall the process felt very tense and uninformed. The owner even walked by and made a “yeesh” face at the employees during the situation laughing it off instead of offering any insight into settling the dog. Treats, petting, space, ANYTHING. I am sure under less tension they would be more patient, and the staff I saw at the nail trim van were incredible, but with a rescue dog (ironically what the event was for) one negative experience can cause a huge setback, so we won’t be able to try with them again in the future. I just wish they would have checked in with me and stopped to think if what they were doing was right instead of rushing and pushing to get through it.
