Amazing experience, for the most time I've been nervous to buy my soild gold cuban, price of gold is at an all time high, but after hrs of homework and recommendations I got to here popular jewelry, now Canal Street is no joke as soon as I got out the car I had ppl trying to sell me things. But these ppl in popular were great no rush I got to hand pick the chain I wanted after looking at like 10. Then came pricing, they worked with me down to the last dollar, ultimately I paid the price I wanted and left happier then ever. Know what u are buying and they will work with you .. just remember cash is king
The chain that I bought broke. I had to take it to a jeweler for repair. He called me because he noticed that the chain was already repaired once. So it was probably not brand new. If you want to buy a tennis chain just order it from aporro, they are a bit more expensive but their build quality is much better.
I came to visit this place with my friend and was checking out their jade and gold necklaces , I was looking for something simple and elegant that I could wear every day. Ana helped us, and she was AMAZING! 🌟 Not only did she help my friend find a beautiful silver bracelet he can wear daily, but she also took her time to really understand my vision and helped bring it to life. The prices were actually really reasonable too! If you go, definitely ask for Ana, she’ll take great care of you! 10/10 ❤️
Beware – This Store Sells Fake Gold and Scams Customers I was completely scammed here and want to warn others before they make the same mistake. I purchased two bracelets that I was told were 18k solid gold. The original price was supposedly over $1,000, and after some negotiation, we agreed on $800. I even offered to pay cash so they could “avoid taxes,” thinking I was getting a good deal. Later, I had one of the bracelets made into a necklace. The gold plating started coming off, so I took it to another jewelry store to confirm what it was. They tested it and told me it’s 10k gold-plated, not 18k solid gold as promised. In other words, I paid 18k prices for cheap, low-quality gold. This place is dishonest and preys on customers. They are not transparent, they lie about their products, and they take advantage of people who trust them. Please do not shop here—you will get ripped off.
Came by Popular Jewelry back in Sep'22 in the evening on a Wednesday. Was looking for a silver chain. Ana was the one who was helping me out. I told her what I was looking for and she pulled out 5-6 different chains in different lengths for me to try out. She was patient in helping me find the right one. The price at first was very high. Asked for the lowest price and went a few times back and forth to an agreeable price. At that time, there were a few other people looking through the shop. There is not much air flow in the store, so I was sweating up a storm haha. Saw A$AP Eva in the back and asked to take a picture and she was super friendly :) The shop is right off the subway, so easy to get to.
