UPDATE: only 1 day after posting my review, I've had multiple people send me messages and also let me know that the current 5 star reviews for Dana & Paul are actually fake, described their traumatizing experience working with these two, OH & also all of their ingredients are purchased at Smart n’ Final, there is no “farm to table”. Absolute frauds!!!!!!!!! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE! Hired primal alchemy to cater my wedding & the entire process A-Z working with Dana was truly a nightmare. Dana doesn’t possess the ability to take accountability when mistakes are made and engages in a long process of gaslighting and deflecting. During the planning process, Dana was extremely abrasive and unkind. We had 2 medical emergencies at our wedding due to there being walnuts in one of the sauces, which we were not made aware of. I mentioned to Dana in the beginning when discussing the menu that we could not have any walnuts and she never mentioned walnuts being in any sauce. Come the day of the wedding, my poor 14 year old cousin and another guest are having to leave to the emergency room during the event. When my uncle asked Dana about the sauce, they were met with the same abrasiveness and rude behavior from Dana, no apologies, no offers to help in any way, just a mean old. “Well of course there are walnuts in pesto” (I’ve only ever heard of pine nuts in pesto, but that’s a different conversation). Lastly, we had exactly 8 guests come up to us during the wedding asking who the “mean old lady” was. Throughout the event, Dana was being completely nasty towards the guests, being verbally abusive and even putting her hands on them to block them from going into certain areas of the event venue. Naturally, Dana denied this, but we’re not surprised, are we? 8 people must be lying… I really consider this a disaster of a company. Chef Paul was also really rude and the food was WHATEVER. I have really great catering companies I have researched out in the LB area if anyone needs any recommendations please feel free to reach out to me!

We engaged the team at Primal Alchemy for a function for 70+ guests and I could not be happier. The communication (we are based in New Zealand and organized a function in Los Angeles), quality of service and quality of food were all outstanding. Many compliments were received from our guests. I would definitely use them again for future functions!

PRIMAL ALCHEMY will be my "go to" catering as long as I live... We've worked with them twice in 4 months and both mid sized dinners were beautifully prepared, orchestrated and every guest raved about during and for days afterward. I can see that this delightful and efficient team that Chef Paul oversees love what they do because it definitely shows in every single detail of their work! Thank you for making my parties easy!

Stopped by the pop-up location (open every Sunday til 2:30pm) at the Belmont Pier for a “bodacious burrito”…. WOW! You can’t have a discussion about best breakfast burrito in Long Beach without including Primal Alchemy. I will definitely be back. The crew was hilarious also… great people, great burritos!

Chef Paul and team are absolutely amazing. And the food they put out shows their love and passion for the culinary world.
