As a woman, I feel it’s important to share my experience at Prime Physical Therapy so others can make an informed choice. When I first arrived, my PT came off as warm and welcoming. I had filled out my paperwork online but still ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes past my dry needling appointment time. The entire visit took place in one of the private treatment rooms, which made the overall experience feel more personal—but also more uncomfortable, given how things unfolded. Once the appointment began, I started to feel a bit uneasy. One strength test involved me lying on my side while he stood directly behind me, in very close proximity. Maybe that’s a common position for that particular test, but there was no communication about what to expect, and it caught me off guard. The lack of explanation made it feel uncomfortable and unclear. At another point, he placed his small laptop on the medical bed to type notes while I was still sitting there. Our legs were touching during that time, and I had to shift to give myself space. That added to my overall discomfort. There were other moments where the physical contact felt unnecessary—especially while discussing muscle tightness. He touched the same area of my leg several times, even after already identifying it earlier in the session. Instead of pointing or using his hand to reference the area again, he lightly touched it with his shoe, which felt inappropriate given the setting. The space didn’t feel very woman-friendly overall. The bathroom had no place to set personal items, and after a few minutes of being there, I began to feel noticeably out of place. The energy was off—subtle stares, whispers, and a general feeling of being watched rather than welcomed. I’m not writing this to criticize anyone personally—just to share my experience honestly. If you’re a woman seeking physical therapy and value clear communication and a comfortable environment, this may not be the right fit. Have any other women been here and felt something similar—or different? I’d genuinely be curious to know. Either way, I’ve decided not to return and will be continuing care elsewhere.
Unfortunately it feels more like a social club for the older folks. I was left waiting for my treatments while my therapist helped others. I was told to allow a couple hours, but my treatments should have only taken about 45 minutes. If you have an appointment time, that should be your time. I feel like they want to bundle multiple people and skip around which leaves you waiting a lot. That’s a shame. My first treatment seemed to help. Too bad they didn’t have time to help me the second time. I left after an hour because I was just sitting there watching him help other people.
I went through physical therapy at Prime Physical Therapy, with Jason and Chelsea after joint replacement on my big toe. When I first started therapy, I could barely walk, could only wear a house shoe, had to order groceries online, and was barely able to cook for myself. That was 2 months ago. Now, I’m able to walk MUCH better, wear sneakers, grocery shop and prepare my meals. All my questions and concerns were immediately addressed with concern and care. Jason and Chelsea are very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend Prime Physical Therapy and will definitely go back if I ever need to.
I wouldn’t recommend any other place in okc than Prime. I’ve been working with Jason on several different issues I’ve had, and every time I’ve gotten much better and took home things that I could do to improve well beyond the timeframe I met with Jason for the therapy. It’s truly a great personable environment, with everyone from the PT’s to the admins. I look forward to coming here, and ALWAYS feel better when I leave. I’ve recommended all my family and friends, and all have had the same similar sentiments as me. If you ever need any PT, don’t miss out on this place. They TRULY care, and will listen to your concerns and most importantly HELP you get better!
Absolutely the BEST physical therapy team I have ever experienced! I have used several physical therapists over the years and they have traditionally used school book methods for treating me. But Jason and his team have multiple methods for treating my needs. They have a variety of tools and techniques and are constantly challenging me with new methods to help me recover from my injuries. They have all of the traditional tools but also have advanced technologies like dry sauna, cold laser, e-stem, dry needling, etc. I am continually amazed with how Jason is always coming up with new ideas on how to help me heal. He has a great, low-key attitude and his team is fantastic.
