After a horrible experience with our previous financial advisor my husband and I were very concerned about trusting someone with our investments again. Darla has proven that there are good people out there. She is as genuine as they come. She has her clients best interest in mind at all times. She goes out of her way to make sure you understand all your investment choices and feel comfortable with those choices. She has the patience of a saint and will listen to any concerns you might have. We can honestly say we would recommend her to any of our friends and family without reservations.

I was very disappointed with the level of service I received during the year and half that I was a client. I had very few meetings with my adviser. The meetings that I did have had very little depth. It became clear over the short time that my adviser was not paying attention to my money and had very little knowledge. What was more concerning is that I did not feel she was steering me toward investments that provided the best return for me, but rather offered her the largest commissions. At one point my adviser became very upset with me when I was changing jobs and I had suggested rolling over my old 401k into a new 401k with my new employer. Her response was that she could not make money if I did that. Eventually it became clear that she did not have my best interests in mind and I would be better served managing my own money in low cost index funds rather than the high cost investments she had steered me to. Overall, what motivated me to leave this adviser was her lack of knowledge in finance and economics and her lack of professionalism.

I interviewed multiple financial advisors before landing in Darla’s office. Not a single one before her offered anything I wasn’t doing already myself. I didn’t have a lot of money to invest and amazingly she directed me toward investments she wouldn’t make a dime off of to max out tax shelters outside of her control before she would take a single dime to invest with her. I knew at that point, she was the right advisor for me. Besides the point already stated, here is what I love about her: 1. She shoots straight even if it isn’t what you want to hear. It’s still your option to choose but she will not hesitate to Advise you. That’s what you are paying her for. 2. I can call and ask questions and she will always answer or be back with me in a matter of hours. 3. Started a new job and shot her the list of investments in the 401K outside of her control and she researched it and advised me what funds to put my money in. She didn’t make a dime for those investments...she just cares enough to make sure I leave a legacy and retire well. 4. I love her personality. She isn’t for everyone and she knows that but those that stick with her have HER loyalty to YOUR future. She will put in the hours making sure you reach your financial goals. I encourage you to INTERVIEW your financial advisor...pay attention, listen, and make the right decision for yourself. You won’t find Darla looking down her nose at you no matter how much or how little you come to the table with...she is YOUR financial champion, if you let her be and listen. 5. My investments have increased more with her advice over 3 years than the previous 15 years with another company. She has me on a path to financial freedom.
