SCAM. Had an HDMI repair on a PS5 in June 2025 done by this place. Paid about $280 after “rush fee” and actual price to fix. PS5 lasted until August 2025 son hasn’t been able to use since. Me being just a girl who knows nothing about tech, electronics or their function, I’m thinking it’s just the cost of getting repairs. Here we are in December 2025, I take my sons’ PS5 to get repaired AGAIN at another shop. Not only is it NOT $200+ OR taking 2-3 weeks without rush service, it’s $105 and was ready in an hour. The new repairman also informed me with pictures of how this shop further damaged my system. The entire HDMI piece was wiggling around in the port. Before he (new shop) took the system to work on it he advised me to try calling this place (Protech) to see if they could cover it with any kind of warranty because from the damage they clearly just did a half ass job. I called as advised. This was the conversation: Old grumpy guy: “how can I help” Me: “hi, I had a ps5 HDMI repaired back in June of this year, and it stopped working back in August. I moved and am using a new repair shop, but I wanted to know if there’s any warranty you offer because where I am now is basically telling me it wasn’t done right.” Old grumpy guy: “Well first of all I’d advise you to tell him he needs to watch his mouth. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about he’s probably just saying anything to get money out of you.” (Additional was said, ready to pick a fight) Me: I’m not sure why you’re threatening (his words were threatening) when I am YOUR client and I’m just asking if you have a policy that covers things like this. Old grumpy guy: “No.” Straight up NO! Wowwww!!! Me: “No, really!? Old grumpy guy: “You don’t live here I can’t help you.” Me: “I live an hour away I can bring it to you I just don’t want to take the drive without knowing if you can help me?!” Old grumpy guy: “No, I can’t help you.” Me: “I’ll be sure to leave a review just as nasty as you are, happy holidays to you.” Began yelling and I hung right on up! Here’s the pictures of the halfass job so THE OWNER can see because you know exactly what you did. One star because I have to. Please don’t patron this place. It’s a scam. Drop your email I’ll give you this small business with great prices!

I had a pin come loose on a small piece of equipment. They were actually willing to look at it and we're able to repair it in house on the same day. Excellent service. They saved me from have to spend over a Grand to replace it!!!

My laptop windows I'm guessing was compromised by a virus 8 months ago and now it intermittently shouting off. Emailed this company to try and get some understanding by email, no response. Called in 5 days after email to get help. They said no warranties. Every since taking it down there it's been acting funny, not running smoothly as it once did. I gibe two stars because they did get it working but the customer service is horrible. Rude in my opinion. I will not be back, I will not return, unpleasant experience and laptop wasn't the same after and a encounter with them. They are a priced high as well to me.
