I was happy to pick up a new Sherlock Holmes book that I didn't have before, which I'll save for Christmas. Have been going there since it was across the road near the railway station block. These were during those pre-internet days for buying up Doctor Who items, but online shopping has made it a lot easier now. Worth the visit if you're in the area and enjoy discovering new crime and sci-fi books that you won't find searching at other online stores.
Pulp Fiction is a small, but beautifully curated bookstore. Their collection includes some books that can be quite difficult to find in Australia! You can tell the people running the store truly love and know the genres they sell. I will definitely be back
I sometimes think I must walk around my city with my eyes closed. Introduced to Pulp Fiction Books by the guys from my book club, no idea this shop existed. Located one level up from Adelaide Street above the arcade (lift or stair access). This bookshop packs a lot into a small space. Curated to Si Fi and Fantasy, if that interests, then this is your bookshop. As well as books, some curios and miscellaneous related items. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the shop was busy, many aficionados, Pulp Fiction Books is definitely filling a niche.
Pulp Fiction is my favourite bookstore. Ron & Janis are very knowledgeable about the books that are in the store, when new works by favourite authors are coming out, and are always happy to recommend books to try that are similar to ones that I like. If it's not on their shelves, they will order it in for you and can text you when it's ready to collect. I regularly come back here, as I love sci-fi, fantasy, and crime novels and can always find something that is new to me.
Fantastic place for Science fiction, fantasy and detective books! All the great ones are there, plus many less-known gems! The 2 owners are true book worms and give the best recommendations! If you like to read any of these genres : just go, you won't regret!
