Love this place. Everyone is very friendly and their 24/7 membership is perfect for my schedule.

I originally wrote a poor review due to several bad experiences with a staff member and their aggressive dogs, and unfortunately there wasn't a resolution to be had. The staff member isn't willing to not bring their dogs into the gym, so the place will just continue to be a dog park. Oh and they don't care to uphold the rules because the reason the place is always covered in layers of dog hair supposedly isn't the staff members dogs it is due to someone with a 'service dog' letting them run wild all over the mats when they aren't supposed to. Staff are aware of this and aren't concerned with fixing the problem. What I will say though is the staff member that called us was at least very kind and I will give an extra star for the apology. They didn't have to do that, but they chose to and that is worth something. It's just unfortunate an apology is as good as it is going to get. We'd never had any problems with pure and were huge fans for years until the 24/7 hours turned into a dog park. If you're in the small minority of people that are either scared of dogs, think dogs are unhygienic, or allergic to dogs this place is off limits to you. If you aren't concerned with a sanitary place to climb and looking for a budget membership then this is your spot, because at the end of the day this gym does serve a purpose for a lot and it was a great place. They do have some of the best bouldering routes in the springs. If you're in this small minority like myself and are looking for a clean, professional climbing gym check out City Rock a few streets over in downtown. Sure they're more expensive, but at the end of the day you get what you pay for... I'll happily pay extra to climb in a sanitary gym where they have standards, staff members monitoring the climbing areas, and care more about humans rather than animals (or at least have the respect to keep them at home and enforce service dog rules).

TL;DR: It's an unpretentious climbing gym staffed and set by passionate climbers. A little rough around the edges, but a great community. I've been climbing here for around 2 years now and the gym just keeps getting better and better. I bounced off SCC because of the judgy community and aggressive sets. The layout of Pure allows for you to have a more personal time at the gym. The community is welcoming and encouraging when you want and will give you space to focus if you don't want to engage. Large variety of sets and walls, moon board, training equipment (weights, balance boards, hang boards, weighted pull up equipment etc). Also the most affordable membership in town. But also, stop coming to my gym, it's getting busy during my climbing time. Huge fan of the place and the staff. Cannot recommend a better place to get into or try out climbing.

Pure Bouldering is the most affordable climbing gym in Colorado Springs, but that does not come at the cost of quality! This gym provides an authentic experience that caters to climbers at every skill level, meaning there is truly a place for everyone. In the building, there are three climbing areas that are each packed with unique and creative climbs. One of these sections simulates an outdoor environment, complete with sets placed across artificial rock walls and crash pads to break your fall. The grading is not soft in my experience, but I would say there is some variation depending on the set. The staff are always welcoming and make a genuine effort to get to know you. I have had a few mix-ups about the setting schedule in the past, but the owners were very quick to clarify my concerns. I do not feel like a customer here, but rather like I am part of a community! If you’re on the fence about signing up, I highly encourage you to go and check it out!

A bit different set up than typical bouldering in gym. There was a lot of interesting traversing on the routes. Not sure I'd want to go there more than once a month. Also had a warped wall which was cool to try. Update there isn't the ninja warrior wall anymore it is now a cover third boulder area. I would say the bouldering has improved since I last reviewed.
