Gyms like this are rare to find. The small facility is absolutely packed with some classic feeling climbs. Very beginner friendly too! There were a few families with small kids having a great time. Lead climbs were a little stiff, the grading was more of a range rather than an accurate grade. Boulders were a pretty soft (I only climb v5 though) Only complaint was one other climber was beta spraying like an irrigation system for a golf course. But you can’t blame Red Rock Climbing Center for that.
I ran into one of RRCC's climbing guides out in the Calico Basin where he saw me bail on route and leave a quick draw behind. He offered to get my draw back and set up a top rope so I could give the route another shot. Really made the day for me and my partner after a hard and humbling trip. Thanks again, Jordan! I'll definitely book a trip with you next time in town!
This was by far the best outdoor rock climbing experience we have had. The Red Rocks were amazing, and Jordan was a fantastic guide. He selected routes that were well within our limits but also challenged us and took us to a beautiful location. Very unique features and we are already talking about when we can come back!
My fav place to go. They have a Monday night lady’s half off thing that my friends and I always come on which is really nice because we’re all kind broke but enjoy this a a hobby. The bouldering and belaying routes are always being reset so even if you come very often there will be new things to try and challenge yourself on and they have a really cool climb that spreads across the ceiling for the super advanced climbers. They are very quick with certifying you if you already know what you’re doing and if you don’t they have classes to help teach you. They have a really small weights section upstairs if you need a reset from climbing and a small kids climb area too. The weights section has lots of finger training holds as well. The staff are usually pretty nice and I will continue to come here for a long time!
My teenaged daughter had an amazing day trip out to climb at red rock with guide Katie. She is expert, a great guide, and thoughtful in her planning for the day based on my daughter’s experience and level. Highly recommend and I hope we can go out with her again
