I've been coming to the guys at Rhythm Bikes for years, it's about darn time I left them a review! Ian, Jesse, and the rest of the Rhythm Bikes team represent an incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, professional local bike shop. When my mountain bike seemed FUBAR after a weekend of barreling down singletrack in Plumas National Forest, they fixed her right up and upgraded her brakes. This past summer, they hooked my husband up with a super sick new dual-suspension mountain bike so that he could join me on the trails. Most recently, my beloved Trek road bike needed a tune-up. At 4'9" tall, my bike is teeny tiny and needed a custom wheel build. Jesse did a ton of research, put together my new wheel system, and now riding my 17-year-old bike feels like I'm riding on clouds, smooth as silk. I can't recommend these guys enough!
I was having trouble taking off my bike pedals at home with a pedal wrench I bought here a week ago — they were just really stuck. I stopped by again today and the staff helped me remove them and install new ones free of charge. I appreciated the gesture of goodwill and will definitely be coming back
Great customer service and knowledge from the mechanics at Rhythm Bikes in Oakland. I’ve had both of my mountain bikes (Specialized and Pivot) serviced and always been happy with the results.
This shop is both friendly and professional. I brought in my 15-year-old Specialized for a tune-up. It had a number of issues, from a shaky bottom bracket to shift glitches. As promised, they sent me a detailed quote and got confirmation for purchase of new brake pads and other parts. Within a reasonable time, about a week, I got my bike back. It looked like new. Hours were required and so the bill was significant, but not inappropriate. Rhythm is now my go-to shop.
