I absolutely love coming to this gym! It’s a great place for anyone at any level. There are no egos here, just fun and awesome ppl who come to train and have a fun at the same time . Coach Brieta is very knowledgeable and really creates a welcoming environment. Especially for females, it can be intimidating to try a kickboxing gym but Brieta is an excellent coach who can teach the very basics and bring you up to compilation level. She is very willing to help you reach your own personal goals and beyond that. I love coming here after a long day of work to unwind. If you only have an hour to work out this is a really fun way to train and improve your striking skills I highly suggest it!!everyone here is super cool and whether you just looking for a workout or actually trying to compete, Rise can help meet your goals!
I've been doing Muay Thai for about 9 years, casually for fitness and fun. When I left the Bay Area for Sacramento, I was looking for a gym and luckily Rise Kickboxing had just opened. This was about 3 years ago and I’m very happy to see its evolution. I have enjoyed every bit of it! The original bag classes quickly evolved into Muay Thai, with partner work , and technical drills using pads and mitts. Coach Brieta is incredibly friendly and helpful and instilled a culture of respect, teamwork and family which has then trickled down to the students. It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or experienced person, or fighter, this place caters to every level. There are also women only classes too. Beginners are welcomed and the coach and experienced students always take time out to help and mentor them. I still have imposter syndrome and hesitate when partnered with fighters on drills but always, they step down to my level and teach and make me feel comfortable whilst still getting a workout so don't be afraid to try it out. Coaches Jon and Daniel also teach classes including MMA which complement Coach Brieta’s classes, and add an extra challenge and point of view. Recently they introduced strength and conditioning classes and it’s great to have those to complement the kickboxing/Muay Thai and it’s perfect they’re in the same facility and Coach Coleman always make sure you’re form is correct so you don’t hurt yourself and makes the classes fun. I highly recommend Rise Kickboxing to anyone wanting to get more exercise or develop their martial arts skills, even just hanging out with cool people. You won't regret it.

This Is More Then A Gym.. This Is a Family we come laugh & have fun and train hard regardless if you are just trying to learn the skill or make it to the ufc you can do both in this gym. First time I came to the gym I left a member & haven’t considered another gym since. MY RISE FAMILY & we all are dangerous lol Brieta is a great coach you will not be disappointed.
I found this gym using ClassPass!! I’ve tried multiple kickboxing locations such as UFC & 9Round to see what’s best for me and nothing compares to Rise Kickboxing!! My first class, I instantly knew I wasn’t going anywhere else lol. Coach Brieta is also a high percentage of why I go. She trained in Tae Kwon Do like me so it’s cool to bring that side out with kickboxing. She’s super hands on and makes sure that everyone is on track and comfortable. I’m so honored to be her student and be apart of this awesome gym & community. If you want to really learn how to fight and have fun while doing it, please check it out!! There’s beginners, more advanced people but it’s welcoming to all (: Thank you so much again for being partnered with ClassPass. I dont see myself leaving as long as I live in Sac!
