I would like to thank Mark, who has just left my home, after getting our airconditioning sorted. He knew we had been waiting a while, due to some previous technical issues, and was prepared to go to any lengths to get us relief here from these unbearable heatwaves. Not only was his service remarkable, but his amazing friendly positive and caring attitude absolutely made my day. Mark has left and after such a positive service, I wont hesitate to refer my friends, family and work colleagues to Rite Price Heating & Cooling. Rite Price were exceptionally professional across the board. I shopped around for a quote for 2 reverse cycle units to be installed. The initial consult was clear and provided me with the best options for the two rooms. The quote was competitive and quickly booked in once I signed off. The two gentlemen who installed were awesome, efficient and total pros. They did great work and cleaned up afterwards. I had shopped around initially and was wary of engaging a big company, but I can't fault any stage of the process. Would definitely recommend Rite Price.
We had reverse cycle heating installed. Our large media room originally had a split system which they removed and installed one vent in. The room is a large room with a pitched roof and we accepted the “professions” opinion to remove the old split system and have the vent which we did - trusting they knew what they were talking about. After a year of use the room neither got warm in the winter or cool in the summer - so we ended up installing a log burner. We called rite price back out and the employee told us that vent is not sufficient and we needed another one - I explained I’m not the professional and that I’d assume we would have been told that when it was first quoted and installed. He explained they can fit another at cost to us - which was fine - booked in for another install. They came - couldn’t do it because of the way the roof was (appreciate not their fault but could have checked this prior) and said they could just make the current vent bigger. That’s fine. Booked in another visit. We told them on numerous occasions there is brick that needs cutting - which they knew from the original install. Brick cutter cancelled because he was unwell. Next appointment fitters turned up - can’t fit as the bricks not been cut. Brick cutter booked in again - installers turned up. Can’t do it because the brick cutter was ment to come in the morning but they sent him to the wrong job first and the installers to us. Booked in again - this time brick cutter and installer - great we’re getting this done you’d think. Nope couldn’t do it because they sent the same size vent as the original one they are to replace. Eventually we did get one man who could cut the brick and install. Now you’d think we’d be happy but this is just not big enough for the size of the room and we still can’t cool it down in the heat. We’re now going to purchase a ceiling fan in the hope that will help. As “professionals” you would think they would have advised us to leave the split system in that room and just upgraded the rest of the house - which I have to say the system is fine for those smaller areas. I do want to be clear - every installer we encountered was great, and sympathetic to our troubles. The company did also give us a 50% discount on the upgraded vent. I can only assume the lack of communication between installers and the office is what caused all the hassle for us and I hope they are doing better. I can see rite price generally have great reviews but unfortunately this is our experience and I can’t give one, just an honest one.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mark from Rite Price came out today to fix our air conditioner as it wasn’t blowing enough cool air in the hottest room of our house. He was super friendly, professional and really took the time to work through a few solutions with us rather than rushing the job. The difference is noticeable and we’re super happy. I highly recommend Rite Price Heating and Cooling's Melbourne location. I recently had them install a Mitsubishi 18kw ducted air conditioning system, and the entire experience was outstanding, especially the value. The quote I received from Rite Price, facilitated by my initial contact Mike, was $7,000 cheaper than a quote from another major installer. The savings alone were enough to convince me, but the quality of service proved I made the right choice. The dedicated installation team who carried out the work was superb. The job was inherently messy, as it involved removing old ducting from both a previous evaporative cooler and a ducted heater. Despite this the crew was incredibly respectable, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to minimise mess. They diligently used drop sheets and tried to be as clean as possible, which I greatly appreciated. From start to finish, Rite Price Heating and Cooling delivered professionalism, expertise, and unbeatable pricing.
