This school is very Clean, Professional,Fun and devoted in ensuring that you obtain the knowledge and skills needed to excel in earning your CDL! YES instructors have multiple tasks however you still gain what you need! I highly recommend this institution!!!
All the instructors here were really informative with great personalities. I learned a lot from each one. The only issue that I had was No one was able to explain how to fill out the log books in detail. You pretty much had to learn on your own or from other students, which most of them were not very informative as well other than that, I had a great time here. And would highly recommend roadmaster driving school in Millington, Tennessee, a great place to begin your new career.I thank god for these people
All the instructors were great! Mrs. Christy is very thorough when it comes to PTI and will get you where you need to be. Mr. Russ is very good at walking you through the steps to get your back maneuvers down. Mr. Ben helps you see what you need to work on and guides you in the process. Mr. Tim is great because he lets you learn how to correct your own mistakes while helping you in the process by teaching how to follow your trailer. Mr. John helps you find certain ways to read the trailer and put the truck where it needs to be. Me. Curtis and Frida helped a lot while driving on the road making sure you know how to do your turns right. With all their knowledge combines, I feel like I am ready for the road. Big thanks to all of them!
Great school and instructors. For my fellow military personnel, you can make use of the GI Bill here at Roadmaster. For starters, I can agree with the need for more instructors for the backing maneuver pad, and the drives (at least 1 more for each). Having 12+ people per instructor at the pad, is unacceptable. However, anyone who complained about not having enough time with instructors, especially in the maneuvers area, is simply not putting in the required effort to learn. I've seen too many people just go sit down or hold a conversation with other students and not pay attention to whoever is currently doing their maneuvers in the truck. This is the prime opportunity to see what can go wrong and what not to do. It's very easy to see the motion behind the trailer and know when to turn correctly against it, if you simply pay attention to others who are taking their turn right before you take yours. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP LOOKING DOWN AT THE CONES, OR YOUTUBE VIDEOS THINKING THAT'LL HELP YOU PASS. Learning how to back up the right way, will help you out when you actually have to back up between two other trucks in the real world when you begin driving for your company. Unless there's a problem with getting your medical card cleared while trying to get your permit, there's no reason that you can't pass all of your evaluations within the 4 weeks (180 hours). Then the state tests the following week. If it takes you longer than the 5-week process, the problem is not the school, it's yourself. They will still help you out even after the 5 weeks if it comes down to it. For me, it was a smooth experience and I thank everyone at that school for doing an amazing job at teaching all of us the correct way to do things, and the many details you gave for these maneuvers and how to execute them correctly.
My experience at Roadmasters Drivers school was absolutely amazing. Facility and staff are very helpful and understanding. I recommend this school for any future trucker. I love it here. Future truckers Drive the Trailer, good luck God speed.
