RockBox you Rock! The classes are fun and the instructors are awesome! I really enjoy how they push you to reach your full potential. There's always something new never ever BORING. Sometimes, I burn up close to 600 calories a class.
Just join a month ago and since my first day theyve treated me nothing less then someone else thats been there for years and all the coaches continue tonpush me past my limits. Gotta love it! Rec 10/10
Update: Terrible business. I emailed corporate to discuss what transpired and was told they heard my recorded call and that I agreed to two months. Which was one of the employees asking me if I could dedicate myself to two months of consistency. I said yes because I really wanted to try my best at going to class consistently. Well that yes for them meant I signed a contract for two months and I’m obligated to pay for two months even though I never signed the contract on the app which you have to sign to register for classes. Instead of signing the contract I paid for the first month over the phone and never attended class therefore never signed contract. Since they require you to go into the establishment to cancel I did go and had to fill out the form on their tablet. The form states you have to pay what’s owed on your contract and no other option can be chosen. I never signed a contract in the first place. The same staff that lied and put me in the situation had the nerve to try to get me to still become a member. No customer service, no apology. I asked for a copy of my cancellation and was told it’s on the app and it cancels the membership. Just wanted to make sure I worn people before going that this place is a scam. Wish I could give negative stars. I wanted to try RockBox Fitness to reach my fitness goals and they offer you a free trial class. I enjoyed it but as I was leaving felt very pressured to purchase a membership. They acted like loan sharks. Tried to inform them I’m a single parent and I don’t have a schedule that I would be able to incorporate any of their scheduled classes at the time but I was hoping to come back once it was more feasible. Mind you the trial class is free but they want $180.00 a month and want you on a contract. So I left after trying to defend why I couldn’t sign their membership contract for an hour on my way out the door. It’s actually harassment. After leaving a week later Coach Marv calls me and says they have a promotion going just for government employees 👀 that allows you to sign up for $50.00 a month. Which was doable for me at that time. He said once you log onto the app you have to register for class to sign the contract and attend a class. Well I realized that I would not be able to pay after that first month so I paid them 50.00 and never registered for a class on the app so therefore never signed the contract. The next month after never attending a class because I didn’t want to sign the contract and you have to sign it on the app to register for classes they are trying to charge me $180.00 for the next month. I figured there must be a mistake because I haven’t even signed the contract with those stipulations and never even took a class I just basically gave them the $50.00 and left it alone. So once I called and spoke with them regarding the issue they stated I had to email corporate office to cancel the membership because since I paid them 50$ without signing the contract I’m still on contract anyway because I paid them 50$. So I email corporate to inform them that I would like to cancel my membership because I never signed a contract and my card is being charged for $180.00 a month and I never signed their contract. This is their response: Hi Rashida, Thank you for reaching out. We have investigated the matter, including the recorded phone call from your sign-up and the follow-up call on November 13th regarding the two-month agreement and cancellation details. It was noted that the $49 to initiate the membership promotion was authorized and paid with your consent including the outlined membership terms. If you wish to discontinue your membership after the second month, you may submit a cancellation form at the front desk. Alternatively, you can fill out, sign, and mail the attached form via USPS certified mail to ensure delivery. If you are experiencing financial difficulty, we are able to delay your payment by up to two weeks. Please let us know if you would like to proceed with this option. Thank you,
I don’t normally leave reviews but wanted to share my experience. I sprained my ankle a few weeks before my 10 class pack ended and had 4 classes left. I attempted to do a class with my injury and it was painful. I tried to see if they would let me extend the deadline and they said they couldn’t because of system wouldn’t let them. I understand that, but feel like there wasn’t a solution offered and leaving feeling disappointed in my experience at rockbox. I will say the coaches are great at motivating you but the management runs it so much like a business and didn’t feel like they actually cared at the end. Edit: The first class as an intro class and then the other three were from a friend referral that’s offered to members, that’s completely different from the classes that I lost from the 10 class pack due to my injury. The two don’t equate, anyways to anyone reading this review I would take my business elsewhere.
If you're looking for a full body workout that will test you physically and mentally then look no further! All 1 hour workouts are split between hitting the bag (cycles of kicks and punches) and circuit stations. 1 hour will feel like 10 and you're body will thank you later! Instructors and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. If you don't have gloves, rentals are available (not for wraps but they sell those too). The first gloves rental is free then its $12 each time. Fitness classes vary every week. Workouts cater to different body areas (core, arms, full body). Scheduling is very simple (phone call, email, text options). Cleaning was conducted before, during and after classes. Masks not enforced while social distancing (during workouts). Supplements are also sold on site as well as fitness gear (bags, water bottles, gloves, wraps, shirts and hoddies) Only reason I didn't not give them 5 stars is because membership options are not available online. Everything is conducted in house (which allows for a personal experience but difficult for the random person that just stumbled upon the place).
