From start to finish, Roofing Specialists did a great job on tearing off 2 layers of roofing and replacing it with a nice new cool roof with vents. Mark D. (our rep) was great to work with and very patient answering all my questions. The proposal was very clear with everything itemized and contained a lot of useful information about the parts and process. The guys who worked on it showed on time and did their best to protect the areas around the house and garage before working. When issues came up, they spoke to us immediately and we were able to resolve them. Our neighbors, who were watching them work, told us they were impressed. The roof looks great and after the job they cleaned up the yard (which was not easy because there were high winds the night after they started that blew debris everywhere). Mark warned us there would be a lot of dust and debris falling into the attic and garage and recommended getting tarps (which we did), so we expected the worse. But the workers cleaned up really well and got the debris out. They also went around with a magnet to get nails. I appreciated the photos of the work in progress.
Mark and his team did a great job getting us a new rood quickly. We appreciate them squeezing up into their schedule and between the rain in order to get us into our new house before Thanksgiving. I also appreciate Mark going the extra mile to make sure that the leftover paint matched and going to get the correct color. He took the time to explain everything and to answer all of our questions. I would recommend them to anyone looking for work on their roof.
Eric and Mark were great leading up to the project. The crew did excellent and fast work, cleaning up the entire site each day. In particular, I was very happy with the attention to detail, starting with the line-by-line quote that was provided. The crew covered all aspects, including replacing wood and painting! They provided loads of photos of every stage of the project. Definitely check out this company when considering a roof project.
I was thoroughly impressed with Eric and his roofing team. From start to finish, the entire experience exceeded my expectations in terms of professionalism, quality, and service. During the initial consultation, Eric demonstrated extensive knowledge during his roof inspection. What stood out most was his honesty - he provided straightforward recommendations without any pressure tactics or unnecessary upselling. His competitive pricing matched other quotes I received, offering excellent value for the quality of work. The crew arrived promptly on the scheduled day and completed the entire roof replacement within a single 12-hour workday - an impressive feat considering the scope of the project. They showed remarkable flexibility by accommodating my requests to close an existing vent and install a new one in a different location, even though this wasn't in the original work order. Their willingness to adapt to my needs, despite my initial hesitation, demonstrated their commitment to customer satisfaction. What particularly impressed me was the additional assistance they provided with interior ventilation recommendations and repairs, going beyond the standard roofing service. Eric's practice of documenting the work through blogging not only showcased his expertise but also provided me with reassurance about his professional dedication and transparency.
Excellent job! Needed to replace our aging roof and got estimates from a few highly rated companies. Roofing Specialists of San Diego was not the cheapest option, but their estimate was by far the most detailed and Mark Dice was excellent to work with. He was super responsive and extremely knowledgable on all aspects of the project. He also handled coordination with the solar company and even helped prepping everything before the crew arrived. I am amazed how efficient the crew was and how quick and smoothly everything went. The crew added new OSB sheeting, replaced damaged wood, installed additional vents, replacement Velux skylights and new Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration Cool Mountainside asphalt shingles as well as a new Dibiten torch down cricket. A few minor issues we discovered were quickly taken care of and our new roof looks great! With the great workmanship and a 50 year warranty we feel confident we will be ok for a very long time. I highly recommend Roofing Specialists of San Diego!
