Overall great experience! I live in a small town that does not have a windshield repair service for a VW with windshield sensors. The Safelite Tech came from out of town to my house. I received clear communication about the amount of space needed for the tech to work, when the tech would arrive, when the car job was complete, payment was easy. I am so glad this service is available. Easy, fast, and the tech did a great job. He actually recalibrated the car correctly and turned on a few features I have not been able to use. Just an absolutely great service.
I had a rock hit my windshield going to work, and was able to get a same day appointment on site. I was in and out within 30 minutes! The repairs look amazing and the crack is barely noticeable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great experience! Lots of good communication. Technician gave me a true window of time for the actual repair and did a great job. All around fantastic service. And reasonable copay for my windshield replacement. The only downside I would say is that their prices for things like filters or wiper replacements are pretty high comparatively but for what I really needed I'd always recommend Safelite.
Safelite (#5646, 8200 South Freeway, Fort Worth) came to my home to replace a cracked windshield. Glass shards were left on my dash, in both front seats, in the cup holder and all over the floor. Ever heard of a vacuum!? Butyl (sp? a black adhesive) was used to replace the seals on the side of my windshield. One seal was flapping in the breeze soon afterwards. Left residue on the car that could have easily been wiped off. Butyl stains to the inside pillars on either side of the windshield. All under warranty, right? A different technician came back out today vacuumed some of the glass, but not super thoroughly as there were still bean-sized glass pieces on the rear floorboards. If you're being called back out because your business left glass everywhere, maybe be THOROUGH the second time. They used a glue (not butyl) to try and fix the part that had come loose. Didn't reglue the whole seal, mind you; just the loose section. I expect the areas of seal that weren't reglued to fail. Supervisor was informed - no discussion, no apology, didn't speak directly with me, and no remedy was offered. Spectacularly bad customer service and terrible installation service too! Update: I called the store and asked to speak to a manager, John, the morning (~8:30 a.m.) after the second technician visit. Here it is 5 p.m. and no return call. Again, really, really bad customer service. But I guess I see where the technicians are learning it!
Safelite auto glass is so easy to order online appointment set up. Is your choice of dates and times… Installer kept me updated and was on time and did professional work very quick about 45 minutes and I was on my way with new glass! Five stars for product installed and service… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
