So, I have to talk about The Kolache. Amidst the fresh produce, homemade jams, and charming crafts, we stumbled upon something unexpected: an abandoned kolache lying tragically on the ground. This wasn’t just any kolache—it was a war-torn, dirt-speckled, ash-dusted relic of someone’s dreams. It sat there, unclaimed and alone, like a sad little pastry ghost of breakfasts past. Now, was it ours? No. Did we stare at it for far too long, wondering about its story? Absolutely. Was it dropped in a tragic moment of clumsiness? Or abandoned in favor of a shinier snack? The world will never know. But that kolache brought us together in ways a farmers market shouldn’t. We bonded over its plight, we laughed at its misfortune, and I think, in some way, we grew as people. All in all, the Saginaw Farmers Market is great—lots of cool vendors, friendly folks, and an atmosphere that makes you feel part of the community. Just beware of rogue kolaches on the ground. They’re a reminder that life, like baked goods, is fragile. Hold onto your kolaches, friends. The ground here shows no mercy.
Cute little farmers market with jelly, baked goods, bread, cake, treats, food trucks. Only takes a few minutes to go through but it's fun. We drove an hour each way and the teens said it was worth it.
The farmers market opens on the 2nd and 4th Saturday only as it is written on their website, so make sure to only come on those days :) Make sure you see where to park
