This was the worst experience I have ever had in a salon. I booked with Brooklyn for a “Brunette color service”, I provided multiple reference photos. I requested baby lights, that’s it. Simple highlighting. What I left with was atrocious. No test strand was done and during the bleach processing i was watching my hair literally melt off like goo. When first blow dried after the coloring service, The top of my hair was completely white. When i expressed that this did not look even remotely close to the reference photo, Brooklyn rudely spoke about me in front of me to assistants saying “we have to do it again she doesn’t like it”. Took me back to the book and dumped color on top of my head haphazardly. This resulted in leopard spot like coloring on the top layer of my hair. Once back in the chair i didn’t see Brooklyn again, assistants finished my service while chatting about them being unlicensed. I didn’t see Brooklyn again afterwards. Once blow dried I could see the extreme damage. Everywhere that was bleach had been chemically cut an inch from the root. I have lost 50% of my hair from this service. Spent hundreds of dollars in damage repair. Had to cut 8 inches off my hair to salvage what was left. I have gotten baby lights for the last 15 years. I have never experienced this amount of damages. I paid $500 for this service and would have had better results at a Great Clips. You can see in the photos what i started with the day before, the reference photo, what they tried to gaslight me into sending me home with, and the insane damaged that followed suit. I reached out via email and Instagram sharing my experience before coming to a public review and was ignored on both occasions. I have never written a bad review for any business before but genuinely this was the worst salon experience of my life and will take years to repair and have spent every day in tears about my hair since this experience.
Absolutely Amazing Experience at Sand Hair Co! I recently moved from the East Coast and was on the hunt for a new salon to call home. After a quick Google search, I found Sand Hair Co. and decided to give them a try and wow, I’m so glad I did! Here’s the backstory: Two weeks ago, I thought I could save time and money by using box dye at home. Big mistake! My hair turned a bright orange disaster, and I knew I needed professional help. That’s when I booked an appointment online with Mady, one of their stylists. The process was seamless they texted me right after booking, asked a few questions, gave me an estimate, and confirmed everything. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was incredible. The salon is gorgeous, the team is welcoming, and honestly, everyone there had STUNNING hair a true sign you’re in the right place! There was zero judgment about my orange hair situation. After a quick consult and sharing some inspo pics, Mady worked her magic for about 4½ hours. The result? I walked out feeling like Storm from X-Men in the BEST way possible! The orange was completely gone, and now I’m rocking an icy, ashy blonde with a soft, lived-in root for longevity. I’m already counting down to my 12-week appointment in March because I plan to take the blonde even further it’s that gorgeous! My husband’s reaction when I walked through the door was, “Wow… just wow!” That melted my heart and confirmed I made the right choice. For anyone debating whether to book here: DO IT! I drove an hour from Port Richey, and it was 100% worth it. I watched several stylists working while I was there, and every single one was doing amazing cuts and colors. This team is talented, professional, and truly passionate about what they do. Thank you, Mady and the entire Sand Hair Co. crew, I’ve officially found my forever salon in Tampa!
I seriously cannot say enough good things about Megan!!! I started coming to her almost 3 years ago. I was a blonde and loved my bright extensions. From the beginning she was warm, welcoming and just an overall great person to spend the day with. As time progressed, including my wedding, she made every effort to make sure my hair color and extensions were perfect for my day of! I got sooooo many compliments on it. Then, I decided to do something crazy. I spent 10 years coloring my hair like a blonde, and then one day I decided I wanted to go RED. now, Megan told me all the fun it would be but that I had to trust her, going red is a PROCESS & boy was she right. But it has been the best decision I’ve ever made; hands down. I truly am in awe every time I look in the mirror and I get so many compliments saying how natural and professional my hair looks. I really cannot thank Megan enough for continuing to be my hair girlie and truly make me feel so loved and beautiful. I’ll always be your biggest fan!!
So I got a horrible chop job of a haircut by another salon. I made a consult at Sand Hair and immediately knew I was in the right place - they listened to me and gave me options - 2 weeks later, Mady put extensions in. I was weary because - I've never had extensions - my color is very vibrant- and obviously I just had a horrible experience with another salon. I'm home. I'll never go anywhere else. The extensions are beautiful. It's been a week since they were done... it's wild how easy they are. Love ya Mady! See you in December.
I am beyond happy with my hair! My extensions look and feel so natural—I barely even notice them, and they give me so much confidence. She is not only extremely talented but also such a great listener, making sure I got exactly what I wanted. I walked out feeling beautiful and cared for. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for amazing hair and a stylist who truly cares about her clients. Brooklyn is amazing! 🩷
