Save your money, go somewhere else. I’ve had many haircuts at this location, it was super convenient being so close to home, but the amount of times I walked away from there with 60 or 70 dollar haircut that couldn’t be fixed until my hair grew back was ridiculous. I’d usually get my cut by the same person. Very nice guy, but he’d never be on time. I wouldn’t be seen until an hour after my scheduled time on many occasions. I’d book extra services, he wouldn’t have time to do them and they’d try to charge me for it. I had some other barbers and there were definitely good cuts, but when I’d go back two weeks later they’d mess it up. I should’ve stopped going after the first month or two, but like I said, it was close by and convenient. Save yourself the time and find a different place. Only two stars because the front desk / bar staff are always awesome. If this review was for them, it’d be a 5 out of 5.
I’m always happy with the quality of the haircuts and the stylists and customer service of staff at the Navy Yard location. When everything runs smoothly, the experience is great and that’s why I’ve continued coming back. I do want to offer a warning to others when planning a visit. On multiple occasions, I’ve made a reservation and received confirmation (which I can show), but when I arrived the reservation was not reflected correctly in their system. This has resulted in me being turned away more than once. I’ve remained a loyal customer through these issues, but it has become increasingly frustrating due to the time wasted, especially when planning my day around a scheduled appointment. The issue appears to be technological rather than staff related, but it’s something others should be aware of so they can plan with fair warning. Sharing this out of respect for others’ time and with the hope that the booking system issues get resolved.
Walked in, it kind of had a speakeasy feel bar up front and hiding in the back was a full functional barbershop 💈 Customer Service was superior. I was given an option to opt into the memberships that they offer with full detail of what the different tiers were…. I was asked to hang my coat, Barber washed and cut my hair my beard was greeted with a hot towel. Overall great experience definitely recommend, worth every penny.
I had a great experience here. As soon as I walked in, they took good care of me. My barber, Lareesa, was thorough, patient, and really attentive to the details. She gave me a clean cut that I’ll definitely be coming back to maintain. Highly recommend.
The facility is extremely neat and clean. There was a gentleman who greeted me at the door. Although, I wasn't there to get a hair cut, they allowed me to use the restroom and explain what type of establishment it was. I'm definitely going to market this very cozy barbershop. Every neighborhood needs Scissors and Scotch.
