As soon as we walked in, we were hit by a very strong smell of perfume. It was so strong, in fact, it made us rush around the store. There was a very awkward atmosphere with the staff just standing in a group together in the middle of the store. A young staff member did in fact come over and ask us how we were doing. He let us know what we could customize and about our delivery options. My partner and I are in the process of buying a house, and are serious about purchasing some sofas. Unfortunately, due to our age, we find that some stores and staff members may overlook us and not take us seriously. I do give credit to the young staff member who asked if we needed help. Other than that, the other older staff members did nothing but give us looks and stares. We also went to oak furniture just down from the SCS and were treated much better.
Popped in Monday to look for a new sofa, spoke with Julia who was amazing! No pressure, showed us options with our limited space, suggested fabrics that suit our home life, lovely to speak to, we could have sat there all night chatting away 🤣 thank you so much Julia! Returned the following evening to order with Julia. Brilliant customer service! Thank you!! 😊
Paul was lovely. Very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to purchasing our first sofa! He took plenty of time to discuss options including fabrics and designs, and payment options. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured at all at any time. I’d more salesmen & women were like Paul, the world would be a much better place!
Myself and my partner have been incredibly let down by SCS. We were promised our dream suite, which is not what we received on arrival. On raising our concerns, we have been accused of lying about our discussion in store and have been expected to accept the suite we did not request despite clear evidence highlighted that the error lies with SCS. Needless to say, we are extremely disappointed and frustrated after choosing to purchase our suite through SCS. If we have the opportunity over again, I would certainly be shopping elsewhere.
We bought our sofa on Saturday, Joe was absolutely amazing in showing us around, we felt no pressure and he explained our options thoroughly and clearly. He was kind, funny and my little boy loved him. Thank you Joe. You are an asset to that store. - soph & ethan Fisher.
