such a wonderful community resource—a wealth of knowledge and a large assortment of jewelry bits and bobs (beads, string, clasps, chains, stones, jump rings, tools, glue, etc.) i really appreciate they sell things 1-by-1 because i dont need 5-10 of clasps or glue-on bails. i needed 2, so i bought 2. also, chain-by-the-foot is my new favorite discovery. they helped me turn my mom’s earrings into matching necklaces for my sister and me and the fact that i was able to DIY the project with some guidance of their staff makes the pieces even more meaningful. thank you, Sea of Beads 🥹
These people keep insisting that I leave at closing time. I don't know why they won't just let me live amongst the beads... Seriously though, this local treasure has items that can't be found at any of the chains, for great prices. Walking the store is more than enough to inspire any project, and maybe best of all, the Keville family and their staff are kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. So go already. Bcause if I win the lottery, I'm buying out the entire store. 😌
My favorite place in the world! Truly, you can’t go wrong with such friendly, helpful, and expert staff in addition to the tremendous selection of gorgeous beads and accessories. The classes I’ve taken there are inspiring and fun!
The most lovely local bead store and the nicest owners!!!! Can spend hours in here looking at everything and so fun to go home and make my own lil beaded necklaces/bracelets. They are also so helpful to get you started
I’d give this place 10 stars if I could! If you’re looking for the bead heaven of Austin, look no further! This place is AMAZING. I am new to beading and got so inspired being in this shop. I love shopping local and this store blew any chain craft store out of the water in terms of bead selection. The staff was funny, friendly, and knowledgeable. They even have a good loyalty program which of course I signed up for! :) I can’t wait to come back for the many jewelry classes they offer…. OH! And it’s kid friendly! They had pipe cleaners and pony beads for my 4 year old to tinker with while I browsed! Definitely my new happy place! If you’re thinking about coming here- DO IT!! x1000
