Recently had a portrait completed by David Corden.....absolutley amazing! When David showed me the portrait it brought me to tears. My wife had a couple of tattoos by Lara and was very impressed. What a brilliant set up from Anna welcoming you in, to the cleanliness of the place. I would most definetly recommend. 5 star service, thanks for a fantastic day and making us both feel so welcome.
Would like to say a big massive thank you to all your wonderful staff. I took my time to choose who I wanted to do this special tattoo of my boy and I was not disappointed. Well what can I say about david true professional and master of his craft , excellent communication and clear understanding of what I required I would highly recommend anyone wanting a tattoo with a personal touch Big massive thank you again DAVID
The staff here is great and always friendly. My wife and I have gotten about half a dozen tattoos here and have always had a great experience. Calum is very knowledgeable and does excellent work. He takes his time to make sure your ideas translate into a great tattoo, which makes the whole process enjoyable. I can’t recommend Calum and the entire staff at Semper enough!
I was looking for a place for my first tattoo in Edinburgh and came across Semper and Joanne. So glad I did, such a great experience and I am so happy with the final result. From the first contact by email, Anna was super helpful, friendly and responsive; to Joanne taking some her concepts to create an abstract design which is amazing and I love. Joanne showed me lots of ideas she had, and loads she created for me. She combined lots of these ideas and used brush strokes directly on my skin which was super cool. She is massively talented and I’m looking forward to getting another tattoo from her. She even gave me a load of the designs to take home, which I plan to frame. Aftercare advice was good and detailed. The studio is very clean, friendly, and looking around it looks like they have lots of talented artists. If you are looking for your first tattoo, or more tattoos I’d fully recommend Semper and Joanne.
I have to recommend Semper to anyone wanting to get a tattoo in Edinburgh! I’ve gone to them twice for tattoos in the last year & a half, both with Joanne, and they are my favourite studio I’ve ever gone to (comparing against 3 others). The atmosphere is perfect, and the studio itself is so pretty & has tons of incredible art all over the walls. The artists check in with you to make sure you’re ok before, during & after the tattoo itself, and do everything they can to ensure you’re very happy with the result. The conversation is really great (though they’d absolutely let you sit quietly if that’s your preference). And they’re all such talented artists. The price is extremely reasonable for such skilled work! Joanne is a phenomenal artist and I had a wonderful experience both times - see photos of the finished work from both visits. The variety of art styles is so varied, check out their work online and you’re sure to find an artist that suits you. If I can get everyone in Edinburgh to see how talented & professional they are, I will have done the *least* I can as a satisfied client!
