We ordered a girl helium balloon for our gender reveal. We provided the correct paperwork/information clearly stating it was for a girl. However, when the balloon was opened, they had put boy (blue) items inside instead. This completely ruined our gender reveal and a very special moment for our family. It was heartbreaking and extremely disappointing, as these memories can never be recreated. On top of that, the overall service and handling of such an important occasion felt careless. One of the worst experiences we’ve had in Newcastle. I would not recommend this place, especially for something as meaningful as a gender reveal.

Called to order a large amount of balloons and Melissa took the call and was extremely helpful and lovely can’t wait for our delivery
Even though Helium is a rare non-renewable gas, and should be reserved for medical use. For the first time we bought a helium filled '21' for our son's birthday last weekend. The 'Shindigs' warehouse was cold, maybe 14 degrees. Within 5 minutes of getting home into a 21 degree house, the balloon exploded spectacularly. When we called to ask for a replacement, we were told it was our fault because of the temperature difference and they refused to cover the cost of replacement. Helium at 14 degrees is 0.1688 kg/m3, and at 21 degrees is 0.1629 kg/m3, a difference of just 3.5%. This suggests the balloons are poor quality and are overfilled by staff. Because helium is almost 8 times lighter than air, staff should be told they do NOT have to fully inflate their balloons. For $31, and with their attitude to replacement, we will not go back... caveat emptor!
Wonderful. Five stars. Beautiful decorations and a wide variety of items. When you walk in, you are happily greeted with a colourful, vibrant layout. Shindigs' staff are very helpful and have great customer service. They try their absolute best to serve you with what you need. Great prices for their things too. Thank you Shindigs! You are amazing!
