Great fun for all ages and they're starting to take care of parts of the park that needed some TLC. We're excited to see it! The season pass is worth it if you plan to go multiple times in a year - it includes parking and a discount on food. It's really fun to see a mix of historically significant rides (ours is the first Six Flags, has the first log flume, and one of the oldest if not the first mine trains) blend with the newer ones. Lots of charm in this park! We prefer visiting in cooler months because summers here are brutal and a lot of the queues are outdoors or not air-conditioned (just a heads up). Also recommend getting the app for navigation even if you don't use anything else in there. The wait times are... "approximate". Lol. But I do appreciate that they have the intensity ratings for the rides and quick access to your tickets.
If you want thrill rides galore with minimal themeing you are in the right place. During my visit a few rides namely: Mr Freeze and Joker were closed due to high winds . But the ones that were open were still exhilarating. Food was passable so the all day meal pass for $40 is good if you have a family, not so much if your a solo traveler. Tldr: rides are fun, not much theme, food is mid
I hadn’t been here in 25 years, so I was very excited. This was terrible. Just a huge let down overall. Don’t waste your time or money. Actually save up & go somewhere better or expect to have a mediocre to bad experience. Can’t even get on a ride. Get let into the ride area when there’s no seats (there were 6 ride vehicles with 1 person). Then they just force me out the exit. I ordered food & several people after me got their food before I did. When I went to ask about it, they said it wasn’t ready yet somehow. I got what everyone else got… They weren’t calling numbers or posting them on a screen. The staff seemed to absolutely hate their jobs. I won’t get into food prices or lack of good merch. In 6hrs I rode 2 rides & had a pulled pork sandwich (which was surprisingly good!) There’s potential but they haven’t reached it.
Holiday in the Park with the family was a great experience. The kids had a blast riding the rides and absolutely ran us old folks into the ground. It had been years since our last visit, and while the concession prices are still outrageous, that’s nothing new—packing a bag is definitely the way to go. They do allow water bottle refills, and the all-day drink option for $19.95 helps keep everyone hydrated. If you plan on riding a lot of rides, the Flash Pass is worth the price; otherwise, be prepared to stand in line while pass holders walk right by. We really enjoyed the holiday displays, festive lights, and the Christmas spirit throughout the park. A fun outing and great memories with the family.
So glad I got season passes! We have loved hanging out at Six Flags. We only last about an hour in the summer time, but we can stay all day in fall and winter. We'd stay a lot longer in summer if they had more places to cool off but there are only 2 or 3 air conditioned buildings, and they get packed. We never wait to get in, but we tend to get there before 1:00. The Halloween event for kids is fun, but get there early if the kids want candy. Trick or treat is near Boomtown and they run out fast and shut down at 4:00. Holiday in the park is pretty. Not much in the way of activities. The shows are cute. There are bathroom everywhere, but they are TINY so be prepared to squeeze. Not every restroom has an accessible ♿ stall which is disappointing. Be prepared to walk 10 minutes from your car to the entrance unless you want to pay a fortune for preferred parking. It's nice to get there before open and wait for the rope to drop on weekends. You can go straight to the busy rides and get on with hardly any wait, possibly no wait at all. In the summer, Tuesdays are DEAD. It's great.
