After working with Skylight Jewelers, I can’t imagine going anywhere else. This review is long overdue — my fiancé and I bought my engagement ring there about a year ago. Before going to Skylight, we had stopped by a few other (highly recommended) jewelry stores, but they all felt so corporate and cookie-cutter. In contrast, Spencer is a true jeweler who personally interacts with his customers and has made unique jewelry for over 50 years. His styles are elegant and timeless, and beyond that they are comfortable, sturdy, and will last a lifetime. I made many decisions about it by talking with Spencer himself, and I am beyond happy with it. I can’t recommend this store enough.
My fiancé and I had his mother’s ring reworked with a pearl and also re-sized to fit me for our engagement. Our experience with Skylight Jewelers was so wonderful. The staff were kind, the whole process took barely a week, and the ring came out perfect.
We had Skylight Jewelers recommended by a local Facebook group when we asked around about a local jeweler for an engagement ring, and we are thrilled with how everything went. My fiancé proposed without a long-term ring, since I wasn’t sure exactly what style I wanted. We gathered a few pictures for inspiration and met with Spencer at Skylight Jewelers to create a custom design. We iterated a bit with him on the CAD model before finalizing everything and having it cast. We had Spencer purchase a lab diamond for the gemstone, and he helped us through the process on deciding between natural vs lab and the criteria for stone quality (which neither I nor my fiancé were familiar with). Everything turned out better than we could have hoped! My fiancé and I still think the ring is so pretty and is exactly what I wanted. Spencer and Eugene also worked with us on a couple follow up visits to resize the engagement ring so that it fit just right. As our wedding date got closer, we went back for wedding bands and the process was just as easy. We chose very plain band styles that Spencer cast in the correct size for both of us. Fantastic independent store. We came across it by accident walking around Boston and I needed my engagement ring prongs tightened. They done a fantastic job, I’ll definitely be coming back to them for future maintenance!
10/10 would highly recommend! I am from PA and I was searching locally, to no avail, to find the perfect engagement ring for my fiancé. After getting ridiculously high quotes for mediocre products at the big chains, I turned to the internet where I saw an image of the ring I’d been searching for! That image was on Skylight Jewelers website, and after speaking with Ed Spencer, he hooked me up in a big way! An all around honest and good guy, Spencer helped me from over 300 miles away. The ring was PERFECT and she cannot stop looking at it. Thank you Spencer so much for everything!!
