This is such a late review, but I LOVE this place! I came here for a wax after years of searching for a consistent tech to make me feel comfortable and from start to finish, made the process very easy! I’m definitely coming back for another service and some oils!
I chose this location because their website answered many of my questions and helped me feel comfortable and welcomed. The atmosphere was very chill, and with a first time customer discount the value for what I got done was outstanding! The waxologist I chose was Amalin and she was fantastic! I couldn't have asked for a better person for my first professional wax. I booked for underarms, neck, and manzillian. I'm an older guy and am very self conscious about my appearance and Amalin was very patient, understanding, and reassuring. She conducted herself professionally yet kept a very relaxed atmosphere, being easy to have a conversation with. She worked with a sense of purpose and urgency, not wasting time but also not making me feel rushed for any reason. She assured me that the session proceeds at a pace that is comfortable for the client and checked in with me frequently to see how I was doing and if I needed a break or anything. Her work was thorough. She double checked everything and made sure that I had the opportunity to check that everything was to my satisfaction. Lastly, I arrived pretty early but her station was nearly ready anyway and she had no problem starting the session early, which was great because then I didn't have to sit around in the lobby getting all worked up and anxious in my head. I will definitely be seeing Amalin for all of my future waxing needs and can't wait!
I had an excellent waxing experience today at Sleek Wax Bar. The waxer was very professional and quick, and I felt that the price was a absolute steal for the level of service rendered. However I didn't feel super comfortable with the folks in reception so I took a star off. It could just be that it was a sensitive conversation that I walked in on and so the vibes were weird? Definitely happy to come back and update my review hopefully to a five-star next time!
This wax salon is what you’ve been looking for. It’s the upgrade from the large corp that shall not be named. These technicians are experienced and very well trained and their wax (developed by the owner I believe) is the best I’ve experienced in 10 years of waxing. The owner, Gina is the best in the business. She runs this salon with all the perks of a larger corp (I’m talking discounted wax package perks, many technicians with openings, easy book ahead or walk in options, etc) but with the “support local”, “family-owned” aspect we can feel proud to support with our money. I have been coming here for the last 3 years. I’ve had many different technicians, and only once a less than best experience. However, when I came later and told what my dissatisfaction was, it was handled with the highest standard of customer service and service recovery. And for that, I’m a client for life!
J'ai appelé pour un rendez-vous le jour même et ils m'ont pris tout de suite. J'ai eu Francis et elle était tout simplement géniale ! Elle m'a fait me sentir très à l'aise et en confiance, et on a eu une conversation super sympa ! (Si jamais elle lit ça, j'espère qu'elle découvrira pourquoi les poils là-bas sont plus épais que les autres !) La réceptionniste était très détendue et gentille. Il y a une belle ambiance là-dedans.
