For the Vegan Community. Vegan Options!! Pea and Plant Protein. They had a Chickpea salad today we didn’t get to try, but happy to see the option available. We did however get to enjoy a fresh baked Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin. YUM! I got a 20oz Cinnamon Oats Plus with Oatmilk and Plant Protein. Menu/ordering was a teensy bit confusing and when I picked out of the High Protein smoothies I saw on the menu afterwards from the photo I took that the smoothie included one nutritional booster of your choice. I wish I would have seen that or been offered/reminded, but it was our first time so for the future we know and I will definitely take advantage of the nutrition booster to get my full moneys worth. The cashier Erin was a delight, great customer service. we had a lovely conversation with Erin and she was very patient and friendly. Ordered a Blueberry Smoothie. Asked if the fruit was Organic even though it’s not listed on the menu. Both employees said “yes, the fruit is organic.” I took their word for it, even though usually if it’s organic the menu will say so. Yelp, I should have listened to my instincts and not ordered. I have a sensitivity to pesticides and herbicides that causes my tongue to swell. Sure enough, a few sips and my a reaction started. $10 wasted. The smoothie is mild in flavor, almost flavorless and icier than expected. Personally, I won’t be back.
Deborah is amazing and the smoothies are beyond delicious and healthy. A must try Organic Chickpea Salad. Yums.
My mom and I drove by this smoothie shop while shopping for dorm necessities and I thought a smoothie would be perfect for a hot day like this! Brianna was kind and patient with me as I decided what I wanted to order, and though she spoke a bit softly for how loud the music was, I could relate as someone who speaks softly as well :) The ordering process itself was confusing - I had wished there was a menu on the wall or something I could read to help me decide before going up to the counter, and when Brianna pointed it out to me on the counter, I was puzzled again to see that there were no prices on it. I ended up ordering a 32oz. Deluxe Smoothie with no booster, which costed $10.69. For the price, I was expecting a bit more - the smoothie tasted delicious, but had a muted flavor and a slushy-like consistency. Otherwise, the atmosphere was cozy and, if the music was a bit quieter, feels like someplace I can sit down and read or chat with a friend. Hope this helps!
