Society Hill Dance Academy est une école de danse et un lieu d'événements à Philadelphie, situé au 1919 Passyunk Ave, offrant des cours de danse pour les mariages, des cours en groupe et des performances. Des instructeurs comme Nikita, Anthony, Millie, Masha et Brittney adaptent la chorégraphie aux chansons des couples, avec une première leçon offerte et des conseils professionnels. My husband and I took group dance classes with Millie when we were engaged to learn basic steps and get comfortable dancing formally together before our wedding, and we ended up choreographing our first dance! The class was a blast and Millie was so friendly and helpful, she made dancing so approachable. Such a special way to learn something new, grow with your partner, and have fun!

We wanted to make our first dance special by learning a dance together, and it couldn’t have gone better with Society Hill. We’d never taken lessons before but our teacher, Brittney, did an amazing job teaching us and making the whole experience fun! The lessons themselves were fun date nights out together and it went perfectly in our wedding. We hope to go back for lessons or classes again!

We had a great experience working with SHDA, especially our wonderful instructor Masha. We were looking for wedding dance lessons and met with Masha for a complimentary first lesson. She immediately started choreographing a dance to our wedding song that we were comfortable with when considering our (very) beginner skill level. For a few weeks leading up to our wedding, we took a weekly class where Masha gradually built on what we learned at the prior session to curate a full first dance for us. We are so thankful for her help and making it such a fun experience, especially during the stressful time of last minute wedding planning. She gave us so many professional tips and pointers that made our dance a highlight of our wedding night and something our guests complimented us on throughout. I would highly recommend working with SHDA and their wonderful instructors for wedding dance lessons or to just do something fun in one of their group classes! Every employee was extremely friendly and welcoming and we could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you!

This five star review is five years overdue. Anthony Mauriello has been my dance teacher for the last five years and is such a talented and passionate teacher and dance partner. We do competitions together as well as really fun performances with the studio in our November showcase. If you’re looking for a teacher who will teach you dancing for fun, your wedding, or performances or competitions, take your first (free) lesson with Anthony and you’ll be hooked!

We took dance lessons with Nikita for our wedding. We brought a sort of indie song that we wanted to use that was very special to us, but we were worried was too fast. He created a beautiful dance that felt very personal to us as a couple, and we had so much fun learning and practicing with him. My now-wife was starting at zero as far as dancing, and we felt comfortable and enjoyed it fully when we did our first dance! I would highly recommend it!
