I’m not proud of it, but baked goods/desserts is one of my four food groups. I do not say this flippantly; this is the best cake I’ve ever had. We’ve ordered my birthday cake from Soonja the last three years, and every year it’s perfect. The balance between the frosting and the cake is perfect, the moisture of the cake is perfect, the frosting is simple yet perfect. I can’t imagine getting a cake from anywhere else in the metroplex. Soonja’s cakes are worth every cent.
We ordered our five year old daughter’s birthday cake from here and like every review said, James was extremely personable, communicative, and followed up to make sure he understood every part of the order. The cake was even prettier than I expected. I sent a few inspo pics so I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but they made it look exactly like one of the pictures. Everyone commented on how beautiful the cake was, and it was a lot bigger than we realized! Aaand look at that cake topper! We had plenty to share even after the cake cutting. Update: Soonja’s Bakery nailed it again! I gave them an inspo picture, James called me right away to set expectations that it might not be 100% the same, but honestly, in my view, they got it to look exactly the same. It just speaks to the high standards they hold themselves to. James delivered the cake on time and in perfect condition. We will continue to use them for any big family events!! ———— Also, the cake was delicious! It was really light and not overly sweet, which I made sure to confirm with the owners since we are Korean and we knew the owners were too. So they understood that we didn’t want an overly sweet cake. We will definitely be ordering future cakes from Soon ja’s!
Soonja’s Bakery made our anniversary so special! The heart-shaped cake with red roses and golden hearts was stunning and tasted incredible. It became the highlight of our celebration—thank you for making our day unforgettable!
Great Place for Custom Cakes for any event. They did an Amazing job for my Granddaughters Cake. Better than the picture I showed them. I highly recommend this place. He even came in on a Sunday for me. When they were closed. Thank You Soon Ja’s Bakery.
I had a cake ordered/delivered for a send off party to medical school. The experience with James (the owner) was incredible from the very start. He helped explain everything very clearly, always picked up the phone, and was very accommodating with delivery on a Sunday. Regarding the cake, I provided a digitally created image, and James was able to EXACTLY recreate what we were looking for. We opted for two flavors for the two tiers of the cake: red velvet and marble. It could not have been made any better. The taste of the cake was amazing. The texture was incredibly moist, and the fondant was delicious. His strawberry cupcakes were also executed beautifully. We wanted to add the logo of the medical school to the cupcakes which he was able to print on edible paper and put on top of fondant cupcake toppers. He was also able to create extra fondant toppers with logos for eclairs we had bought elsewhere. Overall, nothing could have been better with this experience. The delivery was on time, communication was always clear, and the cake looked/tasted AMAZING! Thank you so much for a great experience.
