We had the pleasure of Chef Vital catering for our wedding reception and I can say hands down that it was one of the best meals of my life. From the start, Vital was easy to communicate with and create our shared platters menu. On the day of our reception, he arrived early and had a professional, relaxed vibe that was much appreciated. That evening, the canapes and dinner were AMAZING. Our guests were blown away and still keep talking about the food over a month later. We especially loved the goat curry and the mac and cheese bites. Thank you so much for your work, Vital. Your food was one of the biggest highlights of our wedding.
Soul Provider exceeded our expectations in every way! Vital and Ali were fantastic communicators throughout the planning process, making everything feel seamless. They offered multiple tasting sessions and happily accommodated our specific requests, showing real care for our vision. The share plates and canapés were absolutely perfect for our style of reception. On the wedding day itself, we didn't have to worry about a thing - their team handled everything beautifully. Our guests are still raving about how unique and delicious the food was, and those late-night toasties were an absolute hit! Would highly recommend Soul Provider for any couple looking for exceptional wedding catering with a personal touch.
A+, Top Notch, Beyond Expectations is just how I would start to describe the food that we recently had at my wedding. Food was plentiful and DELICIOUS. So many choices to support a range of guests and dietary needs. Each bite was more delicious than the last. This really our dream for a cocktail style wedding with a substantial food service come together. Thank you so much for everything! We can’t wait to see y’all again.
Everything is tasty. So tasty. Soul food night is Wednesdays only @ Duncan Street Store, and I spend the other 6 days thinking about it. Vital makes a better potato salad than me, which is ANNOYING. Go for the plantain. Stay for everything else. BYO.
Heard about this place from a local who posted on Vic Park Noticeboard on Facebook and thought the menu looked interesting. Went there for dinner tonight and was very happy we dined there. Great portion sizes and flavoursome food. The "dirty rice" and crispy fried potatoes with roasted garlic were our favourites but really everything else we ordered were also so yummy! Will definitely be going back there again and recommended one of our sons and his girlfriend to dine there next time as well. A few more vegetarian/vegan options might also be worth considering (other son and his girlfriend are vegans). Nonetheless, a great little gem tucked away in our hood, too good not to share!! Would love for them to flourish and stick around. Support local. 😊
