Our three kids are doing karate. The educators are really professional and take time to get to know the families. The lessons teach great values and can be very fun. One of our kids decided to add Brazilian jujitsu on top of karate.
Our two boys joined Southern Cross Martial Arts at the beginning of this year. My youngest started in Junior Dragons and loved Brooke’s energy and the fun she brought to the lesson. Junior Dragon's was a perfect balance of discipline, skill development and fun for the 5-8 age group. Both my boys are now in Red dragons. Their main instructor is Joel. Joel is a fantastic teacher, he holds the children’s attention with ease and supports each child individually. My two boys ability to focus, be confident, be more respectful and persevere with challenging tasks has improved tremendously since joining Southern Cross Martial Arts. I would highly recommend SCMA to any family. All the instructors are highly skilled in both martial arts and the ability to teach.
My son is in his 8th year with Southern Cross Martial Arts. In this time, the instructors here have supported, guided and encouraged him to get to where he is today. He wouldn’t be the young man he is today without them. I highly recommend them whenever I can.
My son (5yo) did not want to do karate until he started here, now I'm being asked every morning if its a karate day! The teachers are great and lessons are a perfect balance of skill, discipline and fun. Highly recommend 😊
If you are interested in martial arts and live on the Gold Coast, you must come along and try a class with these guys. The whole team is amazing, especially Brooke, Joel and John. Our son has been doing Karate for over a year now with Brooke and he loves it. Brooke has great energy that she imparts on the students, while teaching them new skills and discipline in a fun, inclusive and patient way. Absolute legends!
