The outside of my house needed several pieces of rotted wood replaced and new paint. Rance Lewis (super nice guy) walked me through the whole process and got the quote to me quickly. Once I was ready to proceed, the work started within a few days and everything went well. The team was led by Juan, who took great pride in his work. Rance and Juan made sure that everything was done correctly. It looks great and I’m happy with their work!
We could not be happier with our experience using Southern Painting of Dallas County to refinish our kitchen cabinets. From our first consultation with Rance Lewis to the completion of the project with Juan Lopez and his crew we were thoroughly impressed and satisfied. We live in a home built in the early 1990s. The exterior is brick and Masonite—a material that, in hindsight, was not ideal for long-term use. Over the years, we experienced some water and squirrel damage to the Masonite siding. We first contacted Southern Painting about two years ago, and Rance Lewis,, Territory Manager, came out to assess our home and provide an estimate. We also obtained several other bids. Having had disappointing experiences with contractors in the past, we were understandably cautious. Replacing all of our Masonite siding felt like a significant and daunting project. Rance was incredibly patient throughout the entire process. Over the course of two years, he visited our home multiple times as we adjusted the project scope. He never pressured us to move forward and always took the time to listen to our concerns and accommodate our changes. This past spring, we finally decided to move ahead with Southern Painting, choosing to complete only half of the project initially to ensure we were satisfied with the quality of work. Rance and his outstanding crew began work in April, led by foreman Juan Lopez. Juan and his team were exceptional—efficient, skilled, and professional in every respect. As an avid gardener, I especially appreciated how respectful the crew was of my plants and landscaping. At one point, Juan even noticed a small seedling I had just planted and took the initiative to place a small protective barrier around it so it wouldn’t be stepped on. That attention to detail meant a great deal to me. Rance provided a clear project timeline before work began, and Juan’s team actually completed the job ahead of schedule—even after discovering and addressing additional hidden damage. Both Rance and Juan maintained excellent communication throughout the process and were transparent about any necessary adjustments in cost or scope. The finished result exceeded our expectations. We were so pleased with the work that we recently had Southern Painting return to complete the remaining siding on our home. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome and wholeheartedly recommend Rance, Juan, and the entire Southern Painting team.
