What a amazing new restaurant just what glasgow needs that offers a high standard of food and service on a par with london and Manchester We where shown to our table by friendly staff who could not be any more helpful and even let the manager darren who took the time to ask how our food was This type of personal touch does not go unnoticed and we will certainly return here as the food was amazing and made with top ingredients and on a different level
My partner and I attended SiSi’s Rooftop Mexican Restaurant on Saturday 24th January, and from start to finish the whole experience was incredible. The menu was explained to us by the lovely and knowledgeable server Grace, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I had the crab tacos to start, and the freshness of the crab combined with the fusion of chilli and fresh lime was honestly a taste sensation. We also had tortilla chips with what can only be described as the creamiest, tastiest guacamole I have ever had in my life. For my main course I chose the chicken, which was not only a visual feast with an array of colours and fresh ingredients, but also another incredible flavour experience. With the side dishes perfectly complementing the meal, it was so moreish that I ended up ordering more tortilla chips because I simply couldn’t get enough of the guacamole. I don’t know how we managed to make room for dessert, but we did, and I’m so glad we did because the dessert menu was spectacular. The views in the restaurant were stunning. We had a Clydeside view with the sky lit up by the lights of neighbouring buildings, creating a fantastic atmosphere. I finished the evening with a Spicy Margarita, which was pure perfection, a perfect mix of tequila with chilli and fresh lime. We actually have a family holiday to Mexico booked this summer, and the food there certainly has a lot to live up to after our faultless evening at SiSi’s.
Si Si Rooftop Mexican American Restuarant and Rooftop Bar atThe Social Hub is little slice of Riviera Maya right here in Glasgow! 10/10 for the incredible chefs as the food was the best Mexican cuisine I’ve ever tasted! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm, welcoming smile by Claire, who showed us to our table. Our server, Ellie, was absolutely wonderful, she made us feel like we were the only customers in the restaurant. Every time our glasses were empty, she was right there to top them up (even when we said we could manage ourselves, she reminded us it was our day and that there’s nothing better than being looked after). Amazing service! As each dish was ready, the equally lovely Luca brought it over with a smile and engaging chat. Every plate was bursting with flavour, and we couldn’t stop saying how authentic and delicious everything was. After lunch, we moved out to the spacious rooftop terrace with incredible views across Glasgow! Sitting in comfy seats, basking in the sun and surrounded by gorgeous terracotta pots and plants, it truly felt like we were back on holiday. Anna and the terrace team were so attentive, making sure our drink orders kept flowing without us ever having to leave our seats. Before leaving, we chatted with Grace to make sure we could get all the names of the amazing team who looked after us. We discovered Grace is actually the General Manager and it showed. She was hands-on, leading from the front, and clearly inspiring her team to deliver such exceptional service. Well done to everyone at Si Si Rooftop Bar for giving us such an enjoyable, memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back!
They add an undisclosed 10% charge to every bill (even if you get a coffee at the bar, which I did on one occasion). They add this charge without telling you and hand you the card machine with options for you to tip on top of that, which I find very unusual in Glasgow. Other than that, it's a nice restaurant with attentive staff, and the spacious terrace is quite unique in the city with great panoramic views. The cocktails are good but they could be more varied (heavy focus on tequila). The food is a bit of hit and miss, but the crab tostada is delicious and the guacamole is great.
Booked for a family birthday meal for 6 people and had to change it to 7, Francesca was so helpful and sorted this for us no problem when I called up. She was also lovely and welcoming at reception when we got there! Grace was our main server and was very attentive and accommodating. Anything we needed she made sure we had and also gave us great recommendations! Victoria also served us at some points and was super nice :) The food was amazing we enjoyed everything we ordered, cocktails were nice too but very strong. Service was a little slow but we were aware of a large table of over 20 people were in ordering a lot too so it’s maybe not always the case! I I didn’t get his name but a male staff member also gave me a free glass of Champagne for my birthday which was very appreciated!
