St Louis Cosmetic Surgery is the best in the business. I highly recommend seeing Dr Sarhaddi for any surgical needs. She is absolutely lovely, down to earth, and made me feel so confident about my decision to get neck lipo. She snatched my jawline to the gods. If you need filler or Botox or just need a little something to look your best - look no further than nurse Dina. Dina has done my lips for the past 2 years. They are so plump, precise, and perfect. She has just the right touch. They never look uneven, overfilled, or like sausage lips. I know many people in the aesthetic business and I can assure you Dina is the cream of the crop. You won’t be disappointed.
My experience with Dr. Sarhaddi has been amazing. She is not only an incredibly smart and skilled surgeon, but she is also kind, warm, and down-to-earth (everything one could possibly want in a physician). I traveled out-of-state to access her services, that's how good she is. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a facial rejuvenation procedure.
Earlier this year I discovered that one of my 12-yr-old silicone breast implants had ruptured & was leaking silicone — it needed to be removed. A Google search led me to Dr. Sarhaddi, & based on her many 5-star reviews I scheduled a consultation. Before my appointment I received paperwork from the patient coordinator, Lilly, which stated: “If your implants are being removed because of symptoms, implant rupture, or deformity, insurance coverage may be available. Our staff will assist you in making pre-authorization inquiries.” I know that’s not typical for a plastic surgeon’s office, so I was honestly excited to see that. During my consultation I shared the results of my ultrasound & MRI (including a disc with the MRI images), which showed an extracapsular rupture — silicone had traveled into nearby tissues & a lymph node. I told her I wanted a full explant (no replacement or lift) with all capsule tissue removed. She explained that she wouldn’t know how much capsule could safely be removed until surgery, & I appreciated her transparency. I decided to move forward. When I called to schedule & asked about assistance with insurance pre-authorization, Lilly told me they don’t work with insurance & never have — despite the document coming directly from her. It was frustrating, but I still chose to proceed because the quoted price was more affordable than 2 other consultations I had. At my pre-op I asked the nurse if they could send my capsules to pathology due to the rupture & the medical importance of examining capsule tissue. She told me it was standard for them to send capsules for testing after an explant. Flash forward to surgery — everything went well & healing was as expected. A few days later I had texted the nurse asking for confirmation that my capsules had been sent to pathology. I was told, “Dr. Sarhaddi said she did not see anything concerning, so they were not sent.” This is my biggest issue! I specifically requested testing & I was told it was standard practice — yet they were discarded *without my consent*. Under no circumstances should that tissue have been thrown out, especially with a confirmed extracapsular rupture. You absolutely cannot determine the absence of certain diseases or complications by visual inspection alone. These are examples of what the capsules could have been tested for: • BIA-ALCL • Breast implant–associated squamous cell carcinoma • Chronic bacterial biofilm • Silicone granulomas & foreign body reaction • Silicone-laden macrophages • Chronic inflammation markers • Capsule necrosis or atypical cellular changes • Presence of silicone outside the capsule (which my MRI already showed) All of these require microscopic examination of the capsule tissue. They cannot be retroactively tested once the capsules have been discarded. Considering the extent of my rupture & the seriousness of what proper testing could have revealed, I do not believe that Dr. Sarhaddi was attentive to my health related concerns & now I’m left without information that could have been essential to my healing process.
I wanted to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for everything Emily has done for me. I’ve had a couple of procedures, and she has been my nurse each time. Not only is she incredibly sweet and genuinely caring, but she also makes you feel like you are her only patient. Anytime I’ve had a question or concern, she has responded quickly and with such kindness—it never feels like I’m bothering her. Her compassion and professionalism truly stand out. I absolutely adore her and want the office to know how fortunate they are to have her. Emily is one of the main reasons I would never consider going anywhere else for my cosmetic procedures. Thank you, Emily Stenger! — Lisa Crabtree
