Today, 01/20/2026, we went to Star Furniture in Pflugerville to look at mattress systems. We met Holly who turned out to be a very knowledgeable salesperson. She guided us through their selections which were numerous and multi tiered. We were able to physically lay on the mattresses. We successfully bought a mattress system, cover and added some really “cool” pillows. We got to choose from abundant delivery dates. James checked us out and is the ultimate professional. Great experience. Go visit Star and ask for Holly and go meet James.
We bought a new King bed with 2 night stands. Joe Breeland is a lovely gentleman who showed us all the many options on the floor with a lot of patience and care for the customer. He made the buying experience a breeze. Star Furniture has a wide range of designs which we found to be lacking in similar furniture stores. The delivery was extremely professional. Highly recommend for any furniture purchase.
I recently purchased a beautiful white couch from Star Furniture, and I have to give a huge shout-out to Penny for making the entire experience wonderful! From the moment I walked in, Penny was attentive, patient, and genuinely determined to help me find exactly what I wanted. She worked so hard to make sure I was completely happy with my choice — answering all my questions, showing me every option, and going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. I’m beyond satisfied with both the service and the couch itself. Penny’s enthusiasm was contagious, and now I’m counting down the days until my new couch arrives! I truly hope it comes early because I’m so excited to have it in my home. Thank you, Penny, for your outstanding customer service — you made buying furniture a joy instead of a chore. I’ll be recommending you and Star Furniture to everyone I know!
A great experience with Penny helping us with the furniture that suit us best. So easy to work with her. The payment procedure was so smooth even with a few changes we made. I don't know the young lady's name that did our paperwork, but she was so friendly and very knowledge as to all the charges,etc. This is the reason we have only shopped at Star Furniture since we moved here 9 years ago. Great quality and helpful staff.
BLUF: The Star Furniture Store (Pflugerville, TX) seemed to do some deceptive commerce acts that felt like they were doing a bait and switch on us. The details are below and I have pictures and text messages to back this up. On 24 Aug 2025: Star Furniture consultant (Maria P) informed us a price on a new bed frame was good for 2 weeks and that we had time to go purchase a new mattress, then when we knew the mattress delivery date we could order the bed frame to be delivered on the same day. This baited us to call back after we purchased the mattress. Sale Price: $2669 List Price: $3669 On 28 Aug 2025: We called back to purchase the same bed from and were told (By consultant Angela) the was now $4787. That was $2116 more than we were quoted 4 days prior and told the price was good for 2 weeks. Sale Price: $4787 List Price: $6587 On 1 Sep 2025: We thought it was an error. So, we called back to talk with the original consultant (Maria P) a few days later. The original consultant remembers us and said she would try to get the price down but failed to do so. This seemed to be a deceptive practice in commerce. Telling us the price was good and then encouraging us to come back later to make the final purchase, and then jacking the price up. I left a very bad feeling that we were trying to be taken advantage of. So, we ended up going to a different furniture store to purchase the bed frame. This is sad because we liked a lot of items they had for sale and may have purchased more items at the location if they hadn't done the bait switch.
