By far one of the most pleasant purchases I’ve made for Christmas will go back here every year for my Christmas tree from now on I want to especially say thank you to 3 employees that made my shopping experience such a great one Angela,Christopher A, Francisco Jr & once more thank you
In the past I really enjoyed shopping at this location but it had been a few years. They had two plants on sale and I called to inquire about delivery. The person said first that it was free, then asked if I had an account with them, and when I said I did not, she said, you can come to the store and pay for them, and we can still deliver them, free. So I went to the store, got 3, 5-gallon trees, with the information given to me proceeded to checkout. It was more than my order total for delivery, $45, and when I declined and asked for help to the car the person paged someone, then communicated literally zero instruction back to me. "Wait here, someone will be right over" would have sufficed, but instead she acted like she was doing me a favor by even engaging. The metallica shirt didn't help. I stood there waiting and nobody ever came so I loaded the car myself -- and I got to put 3 dripping wet trees into my convertible because the person could not be bothered to answer a simple question, thoroughly. "Yes, we offer free delivery for contractors, if you are a person at a home, there is a 45 dollar fee." It's not that hard. When we began I was the only person in line, and by the time she was done with me, 3 plants later, adding the delivery without telling me there was a fee, then having to remove it, there were 15 people and a line half the store long. Had she simply answered the question right the first time when I called, we could've avoided this whole review. Do better. You had 20 staff wandering around and not once did anyone offer help, ask if I was looking for something, etc. Even when I went to check out the girl had a "closed" sign on her register, and I went to the other side of the registers only to be sent back to the counter marked "closed" Shopping should be a pleasure, espesially for plants, and especially here.
I’ve always had a good experience at Star Nursery. Mostly teenage kids working the registers and customer service. Most of them have great training and there’s always someone in management ready to help them. This day there was a disgruntled kid “working” and that manager handled that extremely well considering the attitude. I made an order for rock and delivery. Everything seemed accurate when asked for delivery address etc. It was a Saturday but I never heard back Monday from the driver. I followed up Tuesday and I was on hold for 10 min I called back but no answer. I finally got a call but from the driver which had the wrong address for delivery. Luckily we were able to adjust and he was very friendly. My rock was delivered later that day. Still a great place for landscape needs
We visited Star Nursery to find a tree to replace our dead tree succumbed by the heat dome last summer. This is a convenient location on W Ann. Free onsite parking with handicap parking and handicap entrance. It's very neat and organized inside. The trees are located in the back lot. There is a huge selection organized by type. We found a few that we liked and wanted more information. We were referred to Junior the foreman. He was more than happy to help. We looked at each tree that we liked. Our concern was having a tree that was resistent to the hot summer temperature. He provided a lot of information for each of them and answered all our questions. He was very friendly, caring, knowledgable and patient. He is very personable and excellent in customer service. We narrowed it down to two trees. When we return to purchase Junior told us to request for him to finalize it. They will hold it for 48 hours after purchase and tag it with our landscaper name and cell. Overall it was learning experience.
I highly recommend Star Nursery! The service is really what we love most. No one is hovering all over you, yet the staff is always close by and happy to help. We are very fortunate to have Angela help us each time and Hope at the register. We love coming here! The prices are EXCELLENT considering there are other nurseries nearby that are 4 times higher. The selection is simply unmatched. Everything from plants to pots to sprinklers to maintenance can be found here. Let me know if you found this review helpful below!
