I had my first neck tattoo with Tyler, and I honestly can't thank him enough. Il ove the art piece he did on my neck. The guy takes pride in his work. Tyler will work with you to make sure you're happy with the design & placement plenty of times before he begins. He's a really kind-hearted person. I highly recommend him.
Heroes get remembered. But legends never die. Shoutout to the State of Grace team! Been a fan of their work and their impact to the tattoo/San Jose community. I’ve been interested in this studio for a while and was able to book an appointment with Tyler. He was awesome to work with and everyone at the studio was very nice and friendly. Their work is absolutely amazing!!
So obviously you want someone who is extremely talented and skillful to be the person who is going to put permanent artwork on your body. The State of Grace team has that by the bucket load. But that's not the reason I'm giving them 5 stars. The people who work here are an incredible family of exceptionally adept and proficient professionals who work together to provide the ultimate body art experience. They excel at taking care of their patrons and taking a great deal of pride in their work. I love the tangible camaraderie that is felt when you're in there, which is visible with guest artists as well. The visuals and the vibes in the studio are spectacular and make you realize instantly that you chose the right place. Staff were also very cognizant of the pandemic and performed additional sterilization techniques to high frequency areas, as well as wearing masks while working. Not being from the area, I had to do a little more coordination to schedule my appointment, but Taki was very patient and accommodating and came up with a date and time slot that worked for us both. After flying in from Ft Lauderdale and spending some time in San Francisco, it was finally time to meet the legend face to face. Taki's technique and efficiency were flawless, and before I knew it, three hours went by and my sleeve was almost complete. I will be returning early next year to finish the amazing work that we started. I am a huge fan of Taki's work, but I highly recommend any and all of the artists at State of Grace. They are a special group of gifted individuals who will work with you to fulfill your body art dreams.
Colin was incredibly professional. Very approachable and conversational. He consistently checked in with me to see how I was doing with any pain, and encouraged breaks if I ever needed them. Other artists would stop by and chat. Wonderfully friendly. Looking forward to the next session.
