My app for attendance would not work. I reached out to administrator, were she assure my that attendance is also taken in class. Months went by and I decided to check my sons attendance. It showed he only attended 10 times in 4 months. I was taking my son 2-3 sometimes even 4 times a week. So again a asked about attendance and there was nothing was resolved on this matter. Thankfully my son wants to move on to try something new. Would advise all to keep record for themselves of there child's attendance if app is not working for them. Because they do not take attendance as was told to me in person by head facility administrator
A little boy was getting handy with my niece.(who is 8 btw). When I told the instructor he said he’s not going to do anything about it and he would rather it happen there where she can learn to fight it off than in the streets. I feel like that was highly inappropriate and he should’ve fixed that little boy mistake instead of basically saying she need to help herself. He also said that a lot of people have complained about the little boy and yet is still doing nothing. Won’t be going back.
I got to visit SJJA gym over spring break and I loved it! The techniques were high-level, and the instructors were attentive, plus the room was filled with great rolls! Thanks again for the hospitality!
I’ve rolled in a number of different studios over the past years, and Stockton Jiu Jitsu Academy is by far the best. The hours are incredibly convenient, the instruction is precise, and the instructor is NEVER EVER late. Ever. Whether class starts at 5 AM or 6 PM, or there’s 15 students or just 2, there’s always someone on the mats ready to teach. Usually the owner himself. The children’s program is extremely well run as well, with the sizes and ages broken up so no student is ever overwhelmed. If you’re looking to start, or continue, a bjj journey this is easily the best place to do it.
Horrible experience with the owner . I’m just going to say how she made me feel and that was unimportant! The first time I went to try the class my son liked the experience and really wanted to sign up but when it came to dealing with the owner she was putting me on the back burner. And all I wanted to do was pay her to sign up and she left me waiting outside for almost 30 minutes with no response. Still haven’t responded to me. I don’t understand. She made me feel a lot of pressure when I did my first class like rush, rush, rush did not give me no instruction and disappeared in the middle of the class. I don’t know where. And To be honest, I didn’t even know she was the owner because she was so unprofessional until someone told me that she was the owner I was shocked based on her behavior! I don’t recommend Plus the class at 5:30 overcrowded.
