I’m very disappointed with the experience I recently had with Joseph Edge at The Tax Shoppe. I had previously used his services once before, and he seemed very nice and straightforward at that time. However, in my recent email exchanges, when I was simply asking a few questions about filing for my children while I haven’t been working, his responses came across as rude and dismissive. I wasn’t challenging him — I was just trying to understand my situation — but he made me feel like my questions were a bother. I rarely leave reviews, but I felt very let down by how unprofessional and discourteous the communication was this time. I expected more patience and respect, especially after being a returning client.
I've been with Joe Edge and The tax shoppe for nearly 30 years. They are excellent in there field. The staff is well trained, polite and professional. The Tax shoppe is who i recommend when asked about tax services.

I don’t understand how this place has one good review? I didn’t realize how bad this place was until I started doing taxes elsewhere. Like, better in every way I could imagine and more. I didn’t know all this time that getting prompt responses, being able to communicate with the CPA and not just the receptionist, being treated kindly, and being given great guidance and information are NORMAL? My mind was blown. Also special mention to the receptionist Kathy (who you will be dealing with 99.9% of the time) she is so rude, it’s like out of a movie. It’s like she uses every ounce of energy to sound as nasty and condescending as possible, it’s something you would have to hear for yourself to believe. I had her on speaker once in a room full of people and they burst out laughing because they were in shock/could not believe how unnecessarily rude she was, and I was like oh yeah it fascinated me the first time too. This place is truly special. Do yourself a service, and go literally anywhere else. And if you don’t like dealing with Karens, keep a healthy distance from Kathy. **EDIT: I’m sorry, WHAT are you talking about? Identity theft?? This is completely fabricated. You must’ve thought I would never see your reply, and that I would not come with receipts. I’ve attached a photo, and each folder marks one (unfortunate) year I’ve been doing taxes with The Tax Shoppe. Exactly what I mean when I say this place is special. As far as your story about a specific event, you are either lying or just confused, we’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and say it’s the latter. Part ~Trois~ Why are you lying? And giving weirdly specific, fabricated details? Why can’t you just read an honest review, and take constructive criticism and try to make your business better? Instead, you’re fighting with your previous clients in the google reviews. If this isn’t a perfect example of why you should look elsewhere, then I don’t know what is.
Aujourd'hui, je suis allé chez Joe après 10 ans avec un préparateur fiscal à Miami. J'étais très nerveux à l'idée d'essayer quelqu'un d'autre, mais j'ai décidé de sauter le pas puisque nous ne vivons plus dans le comté de Broward. J'ai trouvé The tax Shoppe sur Google et j'ai lu les nombreux excellents avis. J'ai aussi pris en compte le nombre d'années pendant lesquelles The tax Shoppe est en activité. Eh bien, cela en valait complètement la peine et je ne regarderai jamais en arrière. Il s'avère que mon précédent préparateur fiscal me facturait le double de ce que je paie aujourd'hui et c'est uniquement parce que l'année dernière j'ai déploré les montants excessifs et il les a réduits. Il ne déposait pas non plus correctement la déclaration de mon mari, d'après Joe. Je donne à The tax Shoppe un 10 et j'ai trouvé mon nouveau préparateur fiscal. J'ai été pris en charge en 30 minutes, ce qui est INCROYABLE. Ils respectent leurs horaires de rendez-vous. Excellent service et je vais parler de The tax Shoppe à tous ceux que je connais. Des tarifs extrêmement équitables. Merci beaucoup Joe de m'avoir pris grand soin de moi et de m'avoir dit de me détendre. Lol
