Tea Rex is my favorite place! We’ve been coming here regularly for the last few months and I’ve enjoyed everything about the place. Rogelio and Danny are incredibly friendly, and they make the cafe feel warm and welcoming. There’s great art on the walls, and the place is full of adorable dinosaurs. They have an extensive tea selection, I love the Lemon Ginger and Rose Congou. For lunch I often end up getting the Turkey Sandwich and soup of the day. I’ve tried 3-4 different soups and they are always delicious.
A friend introduced me to this place and I think it’s going to turn into my new go to coffee and tea place. Had an amazing green tea and the food that was coming out looked amazing! Great menu and above and beyond any regular coffee or tea place in the area. The staff was the best!
I think I just found my new favorite pastry in Bernal — the Nutella Cragel! It’s a cross between a croissant and a bagel: softer than a bagel but firmer than a croissant. They served it warm with a side of Nutella dip. The staff was super friendly, and they have an impressive selection of teas. I definitely need to come back to try them out.
Tea Rex Cafe is a gem in my neighborhood. I had the chicken quesadilla is my favorite dish to get here. It was so filling - crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. My husband ordered the breakfast quesadilla with crab meat, and wow — it was loaded with egg, crab, and avocado. It's hard to finish everything. We also had the shakerato, which was very refreshing and gave me a caffeine hit (and actually not too sweet). The owners, Daniel and Rogelio, are incredibly sweet and welcoming - you can tell they really care about the place and their customers.
What a great addition to the neighborhood... Perfect little spot to grab some chow or some brew to wake you up. Gave this place a try for lunch and tried their tuna melt. I like their take on the tuna melt. It's light, the bread is crunchy and soft , the salad is a nice add on to compliment the dish. I like the decor, the vibe is very chill and kicked back with a touch of modern. The staff aka the owners are super sweet with a ton of attention to details. Well done this will be my new lunch place when I get to step away from my desk.
