i am very disappointed by my experience at texas thrift. i would consider myself an expert thrifter and i was delighted to find a beautiful, made in the USA, vintage, silk robe marked at 3 dollars. I brought it up to the register and to my dismay the attendant ripped the tag off and would not let me purchase it. She said the robe was marked wrong and that she absolutely would not sell it to me even though I offered to pay up to twenty. The interaction was very pointed on her part and i left feeling very bummed. Also the prices that were apparently marked correctly were very high, twenty dollar jeans, thirty dollar coats. I understand that this is a business but come on.
My first visit to Texas Thrift was definitely an experience! Let’s just say the prices had me doing a double take more department store than thrift store, lol. But to be fair, they have plenty of cute finds if you’re willing to do a little treasure hunting. 👗✨ Now here’s the real scoop: Veterans Day is when the magic happens! Everything is 50% off, and the doors open early 7 AM to 9 PM. So grab your coffee, your patience, and your best thrifting spirit. I just might see you in the aisles! 🛍️💃🏾
This has to be the nicest thrift store I've ever been to. Well organized and easy to find what you're looking for. The prices were decent as well. Other than the checkout process, the gentleman didn't seem to be happy to be there, we quite enjoyed shopping here and got some great stuff.
I don’t usually write reviews, but the way we were treated was ridiculous. I went with my mom to find clothes for my Halloween costume, and everywhere we walked, it seemed like an employee was right behind us. I would turn a corner and practically run into another employee, and they were very unfriendly. Every employee we encountered would shove past us to put something on the rack. It became frustrating after a while to see how aggressive and rude the people working there were to us. We went to check out with our one item in what seemed like a self-checkout station and were immediately yelled at and scolded like children by an older white man, shouting “Ma'am” over and over again, who was working there, yelling to “Wait!” So we went around to what seemed like the front and went to the first checkout station, as there wasn’t a line. Then another employee, in a sassy and ugly tone, said for us to wait for assistance. With the number of people working there bumping into us every five seconds, there should be no reason we had to wait and be treated that way. We waited, and she checked us out angrily. Which was basically the same as the Walmart self-checkout, where you scan and pay, so it seemed strange that we needed “assistance.” We practically ran out of there because it was so awful. If you want to be treated with any resemblance to respect, do not shop here.
This place has it all! They have a very large selection of clothes. So much to choose from. Highly recommend for a one-of-a-kind thrifting experience! Thanks for the memories, God bless!
