I attended The Art School for multiple sessions and this special place allowed me to find the time and space to bring practicing art as an adult back into my life. Lisa is thoughtful and process driven--she helps you set up your next project and provides guidance along the way--but also gives you the freedom to explore on your own and simply get lost in enjoying the work. I came in with prior art experience, but it had been a while! I highly recommend The Art School to anyone looking to pick up art again, or start for the first time!

I spent a year in this Bay View art class, and it was one of the best gifts I’ve given myself. The teacher is extraordinary ..patient, encouraging, and incredibly skilled.,, and the studio itself feels like a warm, inspiring nest where creativity can actually breathe. There are always extra tools on hand if you forget something, and plenty of space to explore whatever you’re working on. My time here genuinely boosted my confidence and deepened my skills, and it’s become a cornerstone in my lifelong art journey. I couldn’t recommend it more.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Lisa and The Art School, Inc.! Our daughter has been attending for about two years, and we have been so impressed with the growth she’s shown in her artistic skills and creativity. She’s been encouraged to explore new mediums and always receives nearly one-on-one attention thanks to the small class sizes. The joy and pride she felt when displaying her artwork in the art show was truly heartwarming! Lisa and her team are incredible — kind, patient, and truly dedicated to each student’s success. Their passion for teaching and nurturing creativity shines through in everything they do. The communication from The Art School, Inc. is always excellent, with helpful updates about events, closures, and supplies. We are so thankful for all the time, effort, and care they put into creating such a positive and inspiring environment. Really wanted to love this place and support a local small business, especially after having one of my kids rave about their professor (who owns the art school). We signed up their younger sister for an art class with high hopes. Unfortunately, Lisa is deeply unprepared and unskilled in working with young adults/teens. I am shocked that anyone would allow her to work with children, especially with the harsh critique and criticism she has given multiple students (including my own child). I wish I had read the reviews before enrolling our teen in classes here. Please save yourself the grief and find a better artistic environment to learn in!
