Love taking our dogs here. My fiancée Sam has been taking our pup pups adda and hampden for years. Love the staff and if they are busy just call them back in the early afternoons ! :) they come back looking like brand new sparkling dogs 🐶🐶💖

I’ve been bringing my dog, Rocko , here for grooming and had amazing experiences—until my most recent visit. The first time, I showed them a picture of what I wanted, and they assured me they could perfect it. They absolutely did! Luke did an incredible job. The second time, months later, Luke still remembered Rocko and knew exactly what to do without me having to show a picture. Once again, he delivered exactly what I wanted. The third time, however, a lady groomed Rocko , and unfortunately, it was a complete disaster. I usually don’t like to complain because I know this shop is capable of great work, so I called the owner and politely requested that only Luke groom Rocko moving forward. The owner was very understanding and even wrote on our ticket: “Luke only.”I picked Rocko up today, and there is NO WAY Luke did this cut. It looks absolutely awful. I was so speechless when I saw him that I just took Rocko and walked away, fully intending not to return. I pay too much money for grooming to receive this kind of result. That said, I will give credit where it’s due—Luke is amazing and highly recommended, and the owner is super nice. But whoever this lady is, she should not be cutting dogs’ hair. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning after this experience.

We were in Richmond for a wedding when our dog decided to take a roll in something really gross. Steve and the team were so helpful- they squeezed Welly in same day so we didn’t have a matted, smelly pup, and they did a beautiful job getting him clean and fluffy! We feel so grateful we found a groomer we can trust when we’re in town visiting family. Thank you SO much ❤️

My 4 yr old miniature poodle has been very difficult with groomers since his first time. I decided to try The Barking Lot because the reviews mentioned difficult dogs doing well here. Not only did they do a fantastic job getting all his mats and hair off, they said he was very good! I did give him a vet recommended tranq (Tramadone) before we left home and I'm sure it helped but I've tried that before and his previous groomer still complained about his behavior. The people at The Barking Lot must have the right attitude and attention to relax him. I highly recommend them! Yes, he's cute with long hair, but so itchy and uncomfortable and matted everywhere. We've found our furever groomer! Thanks Barking Lot!
