This year The Black Academy of Arts and Letters (TBAAL) 8th annual JazzFest was held at Fair Park in The Centennial building , Automobile Building and Women’s Museum due to the upcoming renovations to the Dallas Convention Center. There were a variety of food trucks and vendors to serve the many needs of the mass amour of people attending. Although it rained a bit, people still came to enjoy the festivities. The Promising Young artists were fantastic!

TBAAL is truly a gem! Every time I visit, I leave inspired and full of pride. The performances, exhibits, and summer programs beautifully celebrate African, African American, and Caribbean culture. It’s a place where our stories and artistry are honored and uplifted. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out on something powerful.

Wonderful venue. Older but well maintained. We went to the Riverfront jazz festival for all three days. The first day was a little unorganized to enter but it was straightened up and everything went well. Make sure you get to the rest room early because the opportunity is limited. The cleaning staff was stationed in the rest room and refreshing after every third use. This will be a yearly attendance for us and we are looking forward to attending more events in this beautiful old treasure. P.S. it was very cold inside although the weather was at least 105 plus each day.

Excellent Jazz Fest! My 1st time in Dallas and I absolutely LOVE that it is indoors! You definitely want to go for the VIP tables rather than General Admission if you can. That'll ensure you have a specified seat for the main arena stage!

I attended the Riverfront Jazz Festival on the 1st night. The venue is okay. It's dated and the sound system on stage was low and/or muted. But the performances were amazing and staff friendly.
